Me too, hmm, we're both imagining things! So I must be imagining the stacks of stuff in my materials storage then.
Maybe. I got stacks too. They are just pretty useless. So I must be imagining the stacks of stuff in my materials storage then.
Nice. But I dont want to run in the hamster wheel.
I'm envious of your PI collection - I picked up my first in-game PI's this week, after over a year of play!

Sorta like the merchants in Skyrim? This! and the fact you can find them normally in game if you look, is the reason why I think there should be a way of selling them in game for financial gain. The buyer could then sell them to other players but only what they have bought unlike material traders who allways seem to have the stocks. As I said earlier, think of it as a sort of Void Opals for those who pick up materials anyway but could also go out and seek them.
Denis.
"I'd even buy one of your relatives!"Sorta like the merchants in Skyrim?
Not sure what you're saying here, you like gathering materials, or you think they should only be available for the wealthy players to buy in the store?I enjoy salvaging for just the sake of salvaging itself as an end and most certainly not as a means to an eng.
Had they placed these modules in the FD store, I would have bought em all and given them a standing ovation for each purchase
Okay I get ya.I'm saying I enjoy salvaging for the sake of salvaging and not as a pseudo arm barring to an eng.
When I said id buy them all I didn't say they had to be pricey...give them away --or sell them at traders for CR's, even better
I think if mats ever went on sale they would be VERY expensive. Some players obviously hate grinding for mats so they would pay a LOT of creds for mats just so they don't have to get them themselves (I do wonder if those players are millennials, avoiding hard work despite the awesome results that hard work leads to! Sorry, older gamer messing with you young uns!!)I'm saying I enjoy salvaging for the sake of salvaging and not as a pseudo arm barring to an eng.

Someone in another thread just said u can get 150 million per hour painite mining. So yeah, if mats were for sale they should be hugely expensive, or else why would anyone, npc or players, want to gather mats for sale?I think if mats ever went on sale they would be VERY expensive. So if I was a player or npc I would charge millions per hour for my services. You can make 100 million creds per hour void opal farming, so you shoud be able to charge the same hourly rates for collecting mats. I think those who don't like to collect mats would pay those rates, or face getting pulverised by elite level npc's and other players!
And people like me who like collecting mats could keep their millions AND have plenty of mats for engineering. Sorta like real life really .. ..![]()

Where there's demand for goods, people will pay for those goods. More demand, prices go up. You're right tho, competition will bring prices down. And there will be those who would rather not pay for mats and will gather their own mats. But for those who find mats gathering to be a chore us players who have mats to spare will part with those mats, but at a premium price, because we know there are those out there who hate gathering mats so much that they would pay a lot not to have do the things they hate. That doesn't really make much sense at all. It's like saying you should be able to charge the same for dirt and diamonds because both exist to be had. You could try of course, but every game with a player market would suggest your goods would go unsold because of the number of players willing to undercut you.
Also, why people want games to function like second jobs is still a mystery to me. If you got an actual second job you'd have more real money to do whatever with. Elite seems like a waste for those that want to boast about their productivity and effort.
