It was 5 hours for me and I made 9800 tons by carrier, nearly 4 times what was needed.
What ship are you flying? Even in a Python it's "only" 12× runs or so, so not more than 2 hours imho.

Many gankers, including some prolific ones (coughdangerousdotcomcough) do equip grom bombs at least some of the time. If your ship is less agile than the PvP meta, a fast-boot FSD is essential to survive in open, unless you want to depend on luck.
