And no one said that 4K needs 4K Video Source. It is the native Resolution, yes, but it works really good on the Gaming Consoles with other than the native Resolution too. More important than a super hyper sharp Image is that the Screen Door Effect is gone away and that have nothing to do with the Video Resolution.

And a nice side effect is, that a 4K Rift is more Future Safe, so in some Years you can use the native 4K Resolution and not need to buy a new 4K Rift.

I tested playing elite this Monday with the 1080p oculus prototype and the text was perfecly readable on hud and in super cruise.

My riftup is on its from Czech Republic and should be here tomorrow... Looking forward to converting the DK1 into a higher res machine and see how it compares.
... Got to do something until the DK2 arrives! :p

Lol. You must be the ultimate VR enthusiast (and have a very understanding partner). When you expect your DK2 to arrive? What you gonna do with your DK1HD then?

I just tried playing the game on a Dk2 and it would not work. According to what someone else just told me, support for the DK2 isn't in the game yet. Or is that incorrect?

Theres a photo of David playing ED using the DK2 somewhere around...

Maybe it doesn't work with the public release... Did you set it up correctly?

is 'david' one of the dev's working on ED? Someone else suggested support for the DK2 is available internally they just haven't released the update yet so that the rest of us can use it.

If David isn't a dev from frontier - tell me how to contact him so I can ask him how to get it working ;)
