no subs please

it would b better paid by new content than subscription, I would never pay for subscription, that would mean the kickstarter investment I made would of gone to waist unacceptable as it was original funded by the people that wanted the game first place. SO NO SUBSCRIPTIONS!!!!! it would be a traitorous to the original funders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what if they gave us a cut?

My mistake, Pay-2-Win is still separate, but the merger was with an old server thread, as explained somewhat above.

Hi T.J. - a good suggestion would be a quick visual display on the front of the forum showing the online status of parts of the frontier systems - including Elite dangerous online. Much like EA does for origin (although they sometimes lie to us :) )

Hello Mr Strife...

I agree. It should be payed by new content... And that is how it shall be.

Make it so!

And in other news... Servers are down

There is a significant difference between paying for fluff (paint jobs, costuming, skins, etc) and paying for genuine advantages. The first I have no issues with beyond the slippery slope argument. The second, pay to win to call it by its ugly name, would cause me to simply write off the money I've dropped on the game and move on.

Make a game I am stoked to play...as I believe this one's going to be...and tell me you want a monthly subscription fee from me. I'll be happy to pay. Tell me we're plotting a course for the PWE Cluster and I'll be gone. It's really that simple.

I see comments about the KS payments and content purchases being the only revenue sources. Friends, that won't keep the lights on.

Now I don't know if I'm all for the servers going down or all against in game advertising for funding. This merge was confusing.

Subs are fine for me , so long there is a option to prolong with ingame credits.

those game concepts are on life support tho , as shown around us

Now it's getting confusing....

Getting comments about subscriptions and pay to win and server down and coffee on motherboards.

I forgot what my point was :D

^ That.

Indeed.

It would also make it a lot simpler to explain what's going on, because instead of an official answer being buried somewhere in a massive thread, you can simply have an official comment on the current outage plastered on top.

Instead of this weird situation here, where the issue is an unexpected server outage which is then turned into some kind of [redacted] and completely irrelevant discussion on subscriptions.
