Release EDDiscovery 17.X is now out! New Spansh intergrations - 3dMap from spansh data, Station panel

It does it in chunks rather than asking for all 43 million at once. Not sure why it's not working though.

Can you look in the Log directory under where EDD is installed and throw the latest trace file somewhere accessible?
can you guide me how to do this?

When can we expect an update.I can't enjoy the game without Eddiscovery and EDDI.The one doesn't work as planned without the other!

Sorry, completely missed that post.

If you go to where EDD is installed there'll be a Log folder (by default this will be in C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Local\EDDiscovery\Log) with Trace_timestamp.log files and HTTP_timestamp.hlog files. Throw the most recent one of each somewhere I can get at and I'll take a look.

I do love this program.

However, I am struggling to get the screenshot converter to work. The "Screen Shot" tab is just blank. I've enabled conversions in the Settings tab. Any guidance appreciated.

This is a great tool. I like it with only data produced by what you explore (not getting data from the various ED services).

Why does the Scan panel not show anything except "Main Star" with no information for a system like Matet (new player area start system) , even when you discovery scan and full spectrum scan? For a system like AY Indi, the scan panel shows planets and belts.

I’ve recently started to have a networking problem. Win10 puts up the world icon to say no internet access, although I can happily pull up firefox and browse away to my heart’s content, and play ED. But EDD seems to stop working for some reason-the history doesn’t update nor edsm data download.

Think it may be a problem with recent update to VPN, as it only seems to occur if I have that running, but is this sensible EDD behaviour?

This is because your ships nav system doesn't "discover" those bodies - it knows them already. To populate the EDDiscovery Scan Data window you can scan the nav beacon at the main star. Once you get the blue message "system information downloaded" (or some such wording) the information is available in EDDiscovery.

This is the case in all "known" systems (places where the nav panel shows all the bodies without you having to FSS them) - in others (like AY Indi for example) you have to "discover" the bodies (using FSS or flying within the passive detection range of 30Ls) to populate your ship's Nav Panel and thus your EDDiscovery scan window. (i.e. you have "discovered" them by scan)

Thanks for the explanation. So no local file disk journal entry is recorded on entrance to a system about what is known, if anything. Therefore EDDiscovery doesn't have a way to get this information unless it takes it from an external database or something happens to populate the local file disk journal with scan entries. The local file disk journal only gets scan entries from scanned nav beacons, or, if and only if a nav beacon doesn't exist in the system, automatic FSS detection within 30Ls or FSS manual scan. Got it right?

Can EDDiscovery show true game time including the year? The "Display Game time instead of local time" either has no effect or just changes the timezone. I would like to see 3305 wherever timestamps are shown instead of 2019.

Thanks. Works well.

Some Outfitting tab questions (same behavior 11.1.2 and 11.1.3):

What is "hpt mrascanner" in the Outfitting tab selection dropdown?
Why doesn't the outfitting tab selection dropdown have the Pulse Wave Scanner?
Why does the outfitting tab have two Unknown Module entries? Selecting either shows the same list of super cruise assist and docking computer records.

I have a Problem. Since 3 days i try to download the edsm-systems. After several chunks it stops, and i must start the download new.

So I have to manually update the module list from frontier provided info and other sources. It's not a quick task. I've not done this in a while. I'll out it on the list of stuff to do.

Delete the system db and start again. Use the safe mode option from the settings screen to do this.

Couldn't this be because EDSM changed the file type a few days ago?

It probably is. I'll do another version tomorrow to fix it. It should also not be trying to do an update from so far back in time either. Please hold while we catch up
