@Nulusios we support all the Inara API points. See https://inara.cz/inara-api-docs/ for what is sent. That includes materials, commodities, ships, locations etc.

Thing is, that unlike for example EDSM reports, I am not sure if it worked, when it starts sending to INARA and when it stops. Esp., with historical data.
On the other hand, these are are already in through EDSM I used to use, but still EDD doesn't "know" and should send historical data again.
Anyway, working but not fully reporting what it does, is ok.

And when I updated, it took my notes from a system I had made notes on about 50 jumps before and it copied those notes to every event after. Just spent a good 15 mins deleting all the repeated notes from my one system from all the scans, fuel scooping, FSD Charging events. So not sure what's going on with that.
And stranger it lets me remove the notes in the History Tab as it should, but it doesn't remove it from the 3D map and they still show the notes as if I never deleted them. Strange...

This thing seems to be turning into a bad Swiss army knife that needs to be upgrade every time one of the other data bases does some kind of change or the game does an update. Too many things are not under the control of the developers and they seem to be in a never ending battle to fix bugs that are caused by the developers of the other programs making changes to their programs.
I watch this thread and I keep seeing bug after bug after bug, resulting in new download after new download after new download, resulting in more data burn after more data burn after more data burn and I am not on unlimited high speed data. When I am lucky I get 4 mbps and my limit is 32 GB/month.
Back to my original question.
Is it something I need to fix and if so,, how??
WoW, you don't have to use this tool.
Plus the 3rd party developers do this out of love for their craft. Bugs are always going to be a problem and you're tone seems to indicate that having bugs in an issue with the 3rd Part Developer?
I suggest you think about your tone and entitled attitude.
Just edit your commander settings in EDD to untick the "Sync to EDSM" box (and the "sync from" one too if needed). Click the "Settings" tab, highlight your commander name on the resulting page, click "Edit" then untick the boxes on the "Commander Configure" panel that comes up.
You need to register with EDSM to get an API key from there which allows EDD to sync your scans to your profile in EDSM. If you don't use EDSM then you don't need to sync to it (or from it).
P.S. The app is indeed a Swiss Army Knife but in my view it is an amazingly good one. You unfortunately have had a whole host of problems getting it to work but I have to say that I have never had any issues with it (not that I remember anyway) and I have been using it for years.

I do appreciate the 3rd party developers.. BUT.. Maybe the shoemaker needs to stick to his task.. Just trying to keep up with the changes that Frontier makes should be a daunting task. But , if I understand it correctly the EDD developers are also trying to keep up with at least 3 other 3rd party developers at the same time.
When I finally managed to get EDD to work it did what it said it would do.. The version I have worked after the last EDH update. I have changed nothing that I am aware of but now I get an error.
All I want to know is how to fix the error without having to do another (actually is is usually three by the time I get all the data bases re-synced) massive download. Is the error actually saying that I need to log into EDSM again? Did EDSM change something that broke my current version of EDD??
Another major consideration for me is the added "voice support". I already use Voice Attack. What will the voice support in EDD do to my Speech Recognition settings and/or VA settings and macros?? Has the EDD voice support been tested while VA is installed on a machine??
OK,, When I first attempted to get this to work, I think I was told that I HAD to get an EDSM key. So I got one. I have it in the setting page where it is supposed to be. I have SYNC TO checked (Some how I think I remember that if I don't SYNC TO, I won't get credit for any first discoveries I might make.) . SYNC FROM not checked.
Since I posted the error I have been to EDSM and verified that I am registered and that my API KEY is correct.
Separate question.
How do I stop it from scanning for screen shots? That seems to be another one that cause the program to take a lot of time.

Thank you for your kind support and suggestions. With over 4000 users we are not going to please anyone. And there are many alternatives out there for people to use if you wish to try another program.
The code required to support all the features that Frontier has kindly given us via the journal, and the added features we put in, like free voice recognition, is large and all software ever written in the whole of human history has bugs. We patch bugs as soon as we see them instead of just letting users hang in the wind. Hence the number of updates.
We don't force updates on people, just warn them of them being available.
All of this is done for free for the love of this game and the fun of coding it.
Next new feature is profiles, which I think you all with appreciate as it allows automatic swapping of popups/tabs dependent on game star, such as on planet, in flight, docked.

I am still waiting on an answer to what effect the VOICE PACK in the new version has on Voice Attack.. YES!! I have read the Wiki. It only says that VA is NOT REQUIRED. Doesn't say if it interferes.
