EDProfiler - A New Display Switcher/Robust Settings Profiler/Switcher/Detector!

So I am having trouble installing EDProfiler on my windows 10 computer but I am not getting the chance to use any of the fixes shown on the EDprofiler web page. Will supply image with what I am seeing (via imgur links) No where is allowing me the unblock options as shown in your photos. Source: https://i.imgur.com/lVKWgFu.png

Found solution right after posting. https://superuser.com/questions/125...plication-due-to-security-settings-windows-10

Howdy!
I'm curious if there's any way to adjust the folder path where EDProfiler will save its data rather than just dumping it in my documents folder. Is there a way for me to direct it to save into a subfolder? Thanks!

I have a quick question about the Icon of EDProfiler. I was wondering if it was possible to change the icon as I currently have a monochrome theme on my computer and the icon is the only icon I need to change. Thanks in advanced

Icons are easy to change in windows with a simple right-click.

EDProfiler doesn't have an option for that, I looked through the properties like I did with everything else. I know how to change icons, I just need to know if there's a way to either grab the current icon of it to then change that and then make a shortcut to it, instead of the app reference

Hey Dr Kaii,

I just wanted to leave a note of great thanks for making this. I recently got a stable psvr setup running, and suddenly need 2 graphics configs. Your utility works great!! Thanks!!

The only suggestion i can come up with is maybe a prompt for confirmation after settings have been applied? Just works like the buttons say otherwise ;)

I notice that when I change settings in the profiler it does not show the settings in the in-game graphics options. Rather the in-game graphics option remain the same regardless of how I change the settings in the profiler. I wonder if that is normal.

Also, is it possible to change the setting in the Profiler "on the fly" or does the game need to be restarted each time a new graphics value is applied?

I believe you set them, then launch game. Can't do it while the game is open. Also, make sure you're setting "apply" to actually print the settings to your file.

Hello Commanders!

@drkaii thank you for such a fantastic piece of software.

I just got my new Reverb Pro/RTX 2080Ti and I've been trying to tune ED's settings but I'm having some difficulty. No matter what I do, I can not get the apply button to change any of the in game settings.

I have ED + Horizons install via steam. Neither the Launcher or ED are running while trying to apply/change settings. VR Profile settings + Extras are applied and saved.

All my paths via the paths.xml file look okay except this one, <GraphicsConfigurationOverrideLocation></GraphicsConfigurationOverrideLocation>. There is no path listed....?

My created and saved "awesomesauceVR.xml" profile has been saved in C:\Users\xxxxxxx\Documents\EDProfiler

I can't for the life of me figure out why the settings are not applying. My start up process is listed below;

1. WMR
2. Steam VR
3. Launch ED within Steam VR

Once ED Starts, I'm greeted with my previously unedited settings and none of my applied EDProfiler settings have been set.

Do I need to close EDProfiler before starting ED?

Thank you in advance for all your help. Hopefully this is something super easy!

EDITED FOR SOLUTION:

SOLUTION: I found my issue. It appears EDProfiler is re-writting my applied settings to the appropriate fles/locations, I was unaware it writes them to the "Custom" preset name. I'd previously been using ED's canned "Ultra Profile", thus, I was looking for my new profile name, "awesomesauceVR", which was not there. If you do not have the "Custom" preset selected previously, ED will not load with it selected. However once it's selected that will remain the current profile/settings and you're newly applied EDProfiler settings will reflect upon start.

It's been over a year since they broke tone maps and everything is painfully gray and bright. Is it just time to give up on having any hope? Or has anyone found a new alternative (or headset that can actually change brightness levels or delivery black space). Thanks

Oh my God this looks amazing, thank you so much, I can't wait to try this out and will report back!

possibly a stupid question...... what does the 'Enabled' checkbox next to "extra settings" do? Do i need this checked for the 'extra settings' modifications to be effective?

о7 CMDR's and especially Dr. Kaii. I have a problem. More than a year ago I played with your ED profile and everything was great, now I decided to install an update, but an error comes out (below in the spoiler). Windows 10 System.

what can I do?

upd. My OneDrive was disabled. After switching on everything worked. Excuse for troubling.
