I too am getting Unknown Device "gnjdfq" Virpil Alpha right throttle and panel 1 (soon to add the rudders)
only showing the MFD's
How do you add Virpil controllers to show up in ED ref?
Can you change the id's to show and how to do it?
Will this mean having to re bind the hotas in DCS and Elite dangerous?

I have a suggestion: Include mouse bindings along with the X-52 and Keyboard bindings. For example, here is mine: https://edrefcard.info/binds/khqlzn I switch to keyboard and mouse for on-foot, and I fly throttle and mouse for FA-off, so having the mouse as well would complete the set! Thanks for all you do, this site is awesome!

Hello. I hope your mom is already healthy.
I tried to create a map Xbox one wireless. But not identified.
reference "evrpdn"
You may be in the same boat as me then: I have a wireless Xbox One controller and my bindings file contains a lot of Device="045E0B12" entries where it really ought to say Device="GamePad".
I don't know why ED does this but I'm aware for other reasons that these particular controllers are odd in a few ways. (MS are great for maintaining their own standards, right? /s)
However, it's pretty trivial to do a search and replace on a copy of the bindings file and just "fix" that issue, letting EDRefCard understand the file. I finally got around to trying this last night (after a very long break from ED) and it worked perfectly.

There seems to be a Bug, when setting my T16000MThrottle middle pov stick (Joy8 and 10) to be next and previous filter in DSS mode, it wont be displayed in the refcard as third binding!
i set up power distributions as first, panel navigation tabbing and page up/dn as second and DSS filter next and previous third (only 8 and 10)

Hello, I am using a Virpil VPC-ALPHA-Right with a T16000MThrottle. (334480CB, T16000MTHROTTLE) I got the message: Your device is not supported at this time. And shown is the T16000M FCS Stick & Trottle without data.

Can this be fixed?

3D pro binds problem working FSS Mode

custom binds/xydhzf ... I can open system scan mode (FSS) but the controls as listed on the logitech joystick 3dpro appear not to operate. So cant scan the system. Any answers? Everything else on the Joystick works as per edrefcard just not FSS ... I'm not pushing something I should but not for trying everything?http://edrefcard.info/binds/xydhzf

I am also using a Virpil Alpha Right and get an unknown device error in EDRefCard - "dtcbhj" - any clue?
Did you change the VID/ PID on the Virpil Alpha, that did the trick for me
changed the IDs to : VPC-ALPHA-Right: 03EB2048

These controllers do i use the moment https://edrefcard.info/binds/zywpjc

nifty site, i have an x52 hotas system and an xbox elite 2 controller. i am getting jtxcfy reference for the controller, doesn't recognise it anyway..
coming from a t16000 the sheer amount of buttons, dials and sliders is overwhelming lol

Hello, just wanted to share that I did receive a notice that my new controller was not supported and thought perhaps the details might be of interest to others. I use a Virpil/t16000m HOTAS combo that works great for general/ship/SRV mapping but I have had issues trying to get an on-foot setup that works for the finer movement details of Odyssey. So I bought the following:

PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller for Xbox Series X|S

It's essentially a wired, third-party Xbox controller. I only use this device for on-foot activity and it really works great, very smooth. Even in VR, I can let go of my HOTAS and pick up the controller sitting in front of me when disembarking.

The controller is affordable and seems well-regarded compared to the OEM. Perhaps it can be added to the database. Thanks!

Hi there! First thank you for all the wonderful work you've done with EDRefCard, it's such a valuable tool. I've used it for years with my Thrustmaster T16000M stick and throttle. I recently picked up the VKB Gladiator NXT EVO (right stick, still using TM throttle) and while my binding in game work, the output on EDRefCard is not correct (it's very off) I was curious if the site has support for the new-ish EVO line of controllers or if I'm doing something wrong? Thanks!

I just discovered EDRefCard and through it arrived at this discussion. Reading the latest comments, I'm wondering if the site is still being maintained/updated? It's a great idea and very helpful.
I made the change from PS4 to PC last week and continued using the DS4 controller because I'm used to it. Today I received a DS5 and want to start using this one. I think the bindings are probably the same, but nevertheless, only the DS4 is listed on the page about supported devices. What does this mean? Is the DS5 not supported (seems unlikely to me) or is the page not being updated any more (for some time, since the DS 5 has been around for some time)?

Very briefly:

Download the binds file you want from the bottom of the website page detailing the binds that you are interested in using (right-click and select "save link as")

Change the name of the downloaded file to a name of your choice - "A NAME".3.0.binds

Now you need to edit that "A NAME".3.0.binds file, so right-click and select "open with" and choose "notepad" in the window that opens next and click OK.

You will see a text file where the top two lines are:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<Root PresetName="Custom" MajorVersion="3" MinorVersion="0">

You need to change the word "Custom" (or another name if it had been changed by the originator) to a name of your choice ("A NAME") - this is what shows in the drop-down list in the game. Having changed that name now just save and close the notepad window.

Now copy that file and paste it into your Options\Bindings directory (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings).

Now start the game, go to Options / Controls and click the Preset drop-down menu arrow, scroll (if needed) to the "A NAME" name, click the name and then click apply at the bottom of the page.

Go play your game with these "A NAME" settings.
Hi, just moved over from PS4 and wanted to do the binds for my Xbox Elite Controller. Followed this instruction but got a 'BindingLoadingErrors.log' in my Bindings file?
Help? What am I doing wrong?
Cheers.

What are the contents of the "BindingLoadingErrors.log" file?

Hi, so lots of this:
'There where errors when loading preset file: Red.binds
There are multiple entries of binding "MouseGUI" Only the first will be used
Failed to find GUID for device: 045E02E3'

I don’t know where that comes from, but it doesn’t seem to mean much.
Failed to find GUID for device: 045E02E3'
Hmm, maybe your Xbox One Elite controller is not properly installed in Windows. Or maybe it is a different controller, actually.

Are you able to assign buttons manually in the game?

Ignore the mouse error your issue is the GUID number.

If you can create a new set of bindings (select kb&m for example and change one or two things using your controller and select apply) edit that new "custom" binds file to see what the GUID (or device name / description) is shown for the device you just used. Then do a "find and replace" with that in the faulty binds file.
