Discussion EDRefCard v1.4+ - new hosting, new maintainers (the follow-on to "EDRefCard - makes a printable reference card of your controller bindings")

It is strange, cause 2 months ago my VPC Constellation Alpha Prime Right was producing a picture and entries alongside a "temporary" VPC Constellation Alpha Left in place of my Lefthand Alpha Prime. Previous Thread Here.

But this new version is not producing the same results now. Could this be because I had to rebuild my computer a few weeks ago?

I am getting code euhfgu, but I am pretty sure that's for the vJoy instance.

Though I have a question, when flying around, if I touch the scroll wheel on my left stick, it takes over the throttle adjustments, and my left stick stops controlling my throttle. Have you had this happen?
If it's still useful to you - that's also the setting that I use (dual Virpils). Basically, the last command received is executed. I set this up for me on purpose (the Virpils have enough buttons). Left stick gets used for intense situations (like combat) or when I need fine control (landing). Right stick/thumbwheel is for lazy flying - exploration, in-system supercruise, that kind of stuff where I neither need to constantly adjust speed nor lateral thrusters.

Have you updated any stick firmware recently? That can change the id shown to windows.

The driver reinstall might have done that.

will ever be there an option to have mouse bindings too? maybe just 502 family, 85% of this galaxy should be covered :D
I've got no plans to do mouse bindings due to the sheer number of mice/software combinations.

A keyboard-like listing might be possible. I'll keep it in mind.

J

Correct. They are possibly also in your elite binds file too.

I hope the binding as .txt file are ok. its not possible to upload the original file

Trying to import a BIND for a thrustmasterhotasX, but I think think I must be missing something obvious.
Downloaded the xml into the Bindings folder in ~Options > Bindings, then opened the file and changed the Root PresetName.

When I go into the game and choose the new profile, none of the bindings have changed to match the imported/download EDRefCard BIND/xml.

Can someone advise?

Have not updated the firmware as it is the latest. The internal IDs couldn't have changed otherwise I would have had to edit my binds, that never happened. I can't think of any reason the page would see it differently, that bind file is straight from the previous windows install. And it worked flawlessly with my Elite setup.

You have to change the file name as well. If your XML looks like this, for example:
<Root PresetName="My HOTAS" MajorVersion="4" MinorVersion="1">

then you have to rename your file like this:
My HOTAS.4.1.binds

Cheers Lhorndra, it turns out I was overtired and not fully paying attention to what I was doing; HCS VoicePack was reporting missing keybinds, which I mis-interpreted as an issue with the xml. The binds were imported fine, it's just HCS doesn't recognise things like PoV etc.

Is that info sufficient or shall I provide something else?

Just upgraded from a t flight hotas x to a winwing ursaminor hosas. Got the uknown controller detected message which did not surprise me because it is a pretty new product but I figure I would post here anyways.

Reference: qdiuzh
I recently swapped the joystick of my T16000M FCS TWCS hotas to the WinWing Ursa Minor fighter (right hand) joystick. Unknown controller reference code: nfzzhn .
Is it possible to have support added for it?
Thanks!
YE pleas i have also these joystick and the ref card don't work so in can't really easy bind it

I’m using the WINWING URSA MINOR HOSAS. It’s the Space Left and Fighter Right set.

The Reference Code is "dfqcok" (there is also "fpuxsy," but they contain the same information).

Additionally, here is how to distinguish them by Device ID.

"4098BC29" = Space Left
"4098BC2A" = Fighter Right

I hope this information will be helpful for EDRefCard support and for any CMDRs who are planning to or have already introduced the same HOSAS.

Thank you! o7
