Release EDSM - Elite Dangerous Star Map

Hi, some issue with an expedition:

When i returned to Wapiya after going through all waypoints of the Christmas Delights expedition, the progress sprang back to 0,01 percent and no badge (Humboldt's Trail) was awarded.
Could you please have a look into this? t.v.m.

When did you get back to the starting point?
For looped expedition there is a threshold before you can reach the arrival, which is 5 days or a third of the expedition time if the expedition is less than 5 days.

I left Wapiya at "Dec 8, 2017, 9:19:11 AM" to LTT 2682 and returned to Wapiya at "Dec 12, 2017, 1:55:47 AM"
Can I do anythoing about it now? Like leaving and returning in two days?

EDIT: Thank you for the information, Anthornet. I deleted some flightlog entries for Wapiya so it worked out.

I spent some time on that old code and optimised things a little.

Has the upload journal feature been removed?

EDMC was not running for a while and I need to fill in the gaps, how is this done now?

Found it now, I searched EDSM for 30 minutes before posting this, then went back and pop, it was right there in the menu ...

The system "Pleiades Sector IR-W d1-55" has the following bodies, amongst others:

Pleiades Sector IR-W d1-55
Pleiades Sector IR-W d1-55 5 a
Pleiades Sector IR-W d1-56
Aries Dark Region QY-Q b5-0
Aries Dark Region UE-P b6-1 A
Hyades Sector SY-R b4-0 A

The first two are valid, but not (according to EDDB) the only bodies present.

The others are from completely different systems; some of them are also marked as Main Stars.

We have seen other systems with more than one main star, but didn't notice the obvious naming problem shown above...

This is likely due to delayed scans where the commander's last station was in that system, the commander lost their ship between scanning the body and the scan being written, and the software processing the journal doesn't check that the system name makes sense for the scanned body.

Hi All,

This might be a silly question & might be missing something obvious, but haven't been able to find an answer. I see routes setup on the EDSM map, and seem to be searchable on the site to appear in map view, but I was wondering how I would go about creating one of these myself? Either just privately for a new exploration travel route for my next trip or if I have a good route to share with the community for an expedition etc.

Also on a similar note, if I find an exceptional/noteworthy system worth a pin on the map, how would I go about submitting one? Can this be done via the site, or via a forum somewhere?

Many Thanks,

The Christmas lights are very nice, but ever since they appeared reloading the page causes it to jump to the top of the page. Previously, the page would stay at the point where it was scrolled to. On the Celestial Bodies tab I used to be able to just reload the page to see the new planet(s) I had just scanned. Now I have to reload and scroll down every time. I am using Firefox in W10.

Hi there,

I (CMDR haevlock) have uploaded a bunch of Journal files today using this method. Even though everything went fine somehow EDSM now thinks I did last few months of my travels in an Eagle that I don't have for like half a year (moreover, Fleet page shows it as sold) instead of an AspX I'm actually in.

That led to some interesting results as now Semotus's Beacon and Beagle Point system pages show that there was an Eagle travelling them in the last 24h.

Not an issue too big but just something I wanted to report.

Thank you for your work and Merry Christmas!

Hi CMDRs out there, EDSM database will hit the 20 million systems mark, soon! Cheers! And a happy new year!

Had a very nasty System, needed 40+ distances to finally get the right coordinates.
And another even nastier one doesn't resolve well. I already pushed more than 40 distances, still no good result. So if you find a minute or two, everyone -no matter where you are- pls submit 1 or 2 distances to Clookie RO-D b56-1, tyvm.

Submitted two (double-checked) distances from 13kly and 24kly. AFAIK they will not help, as only the closest 10-20 (?) systems will be considered.

I'll ping Anthor in Discord and ask him to have a look. He's got some tricks when it comes to dealing with unruly systems.

Just noticed that the stupidly named planet "Stapled Peacock Flesh" in Calhuacan appears twice in EDSM. It is correctly shown at the position that would otherwise be Calhuacan 1, but is also incorrectly shown as the moon Calhuacan 7A. The latter does not exist, at least according to the in-game system map. I have not actually flown there to check.
