Patch Notes Update Elite: Dangerous 1.01 change log

Great stuff, so glad you have removed the version text. Felt like it was still a test version with that there lol.
 
Hi everyone,

Day 2 of Elite: Dangerous being out there in the real world, and we already have a little update for you all. See the full change log below:

• Removed "Elite: Dangerous 1.0.0.0" version text
• Fix one cause of disconnections during hyperspace when server load is high
• Fix a system map crash related to data associates with specific systems
• Fix some debug strings being shown in slave-related mission descriptions
• Fix some ambiguous galaxy data in a small number of regions
• Fix two different very rare networking crashes
• Diagnostics to help track down one cause of disconnections following server island migration
• Diagnostics to help understand some graphics memory allocation failures
• Diagnostics to help track down systems with possibly inconsistent minor faction data
• Diagnostics to help understand if some bounties aren't being awarded

Thank you Ed. Any news regarding the friend list text&voice comms problem. I am not the only one to have ticketed it already, and it's kind of a bummer to not be able to communicate with friends outside your current instance.

I just was about to ticket that one, when I entered LHS 3447 to say hello to my friend there i suffered a huge FPS drop (from 60-75 beeing normal to 20-25 tops). The fps drop happened in SC, arround stations it was slightly better.

Anyway, thanks for your work and info.
 
Not to be a stick-in-the-mud but shouldn't this also be in the Patch Notes subforum? Or is that one only for archive purposes? (I can see benefit of this thread being in both places though!).

Anyways -- thanks a lot for all the hard work! It looks like the release went without major hiccups! :) Great job guys, keep 'em comming!


P.S.: Wondering if there is any info on fixing the alternate mission paths you get from encounters in USS? They seem to be removing the possibility to finish missions in the original way, leaving only the alternative version...
 
I just wanted to congratulate Frontier Developments for your hard work for a smooth launch and a great game! Been having a lot of fun and already an update? That's super good news, shows the dedication of the team for their game. Keep 'em coming, and we'll keep flying.
