Bravo on the HUD lines option. But I think this is a case of people not understanding what they were asking for...

There really needs to be a three way toggle. All lines, SC target only, and none.

Having no lines at all makes navigation hard. It's very difficult to figure out which side of a planet a station is orbiting.

Couldn't agree more. I think people just latched on tho the idea that the lines were clutter without thinking that they serve a real purpose. Now we'll have weeks of those people begging for an in-between option.
 
Unrecoverable error on transaction server

I really appreciate all the hard work you guys are doing. However, I am still getting the above error when trying to hyperspace to a new system just outside the inhabited portion of the galaxy (ticketed). As an explorer I want to go off and look at distant parts of the galaxy. Exploring is supposed to be one of the main activities and with this problem exploration is impossible.

Other than that (for me), congratulations to all at FD. You have done an outstanding job.

Very stable build so far, a few minor problems:

The right hand panel has no text against the the orbit lines toggle entry

I'm still finding the landing pad number/marker disappearing in the station

Stations in LI TZICNII (near JADLILLKE) are showing the illegal goods list twice in the system map - i.e Combat stabilizers mentions twice, etc.

WOWWW!! SuperCruise looks so much better and seamless now without all those ugly orbits! I think it should be the default setting!
 
So, trading and rare trading is still nerfed?
Seems so. I must say the profit with trading is so small with a Hauler that I rather hang around for USS cargo to spawn. And even here, I never found a black market where prices offered for goods where much more than half of the galactic average.
 
Nice work FD once again I log in to find you guys have been busy with the fixing wand.

It is really good to see that the work continues. 30 years of waiting and worth every minute of it

Loving the game! Having been a fan since 1984. Totally gutted that I cant play just now as my save file appears to be corrupt - oh for offline mode. I am stuck with 32t of Beryllium that wont show up on the Commodoties and only occasionally shows up in cargo. Have ticketed twice on this bug as it has stopped me playing this awesome game. Frontier - Please help. If I have to lose my sav file (on your server) and start again I will be totally gutted - especially since I was a Beta backer.
 
It is pretty amusing how every patch is met with a universal "hurrah!" and "Great work FD" and such while 1) The patches coming now are reactionary and compensating for the game being released too early, 2)The "Toggle orbit lines" was requested since beta 2 if not earlier and only months later implemented even though it was probably a half-hour job to implement.
I guess doing something about the borked background sim (like, dunno, switch the damn thing off and fix the prices like it was in the previous Elite games? You don't hear anybody complaining it was borked or illogical back then, do you? Oh yes, I forgot - "dynamic galaxy" and all that... yeah... god forbid it's fun or simple or logical, though, right?) will also take a couple of months?

Don't get me wrong: I'm as happy as the next guy about the game being updated so often and growing and maturing by the hour. It's just that the lack of communication from FD and lack of transparency of the processes that happen in FD relating to the game is getting extremely frustrating. They can't even write the patch notes clearly enough so that they don't need interpretation and guesswork by the players to be understood.
