When you click on a station in the System Map it says "WANTED" if you're wanted there? So for safety now, always go to a station you're not "WANTED" at on the System Map? Correct?

No ... Elite Dangerous would seems to imply that we commanders live dangerously ... so I would still try my best to smuggle myself into stations

with a wanted status ... just for the fun it gives.

uhhh so if i get a 200cr bounty from a stupid npc who flys in while im attacking a bounty or attacking a wanted ship before my scan finishes i have to go find a stupid outpost or risk my 1 mil insurance to get it reset, please clarify

Or go to a station owned by a different faction, presumably.

- Treat capital ships like players for assigning kills
- Prevent docking after the police 'notice' that a player is wanted. This is the same reaction with committing a violent crime near the station.

YES! Really happy these got implemented!

Thanks Frontier :)

I find just full throttle approach works just as well, no boosting needed - less chance of miscalculation and ending up as station entrance pizza stain. :)

Pffftttt... Now where's the fun in that? Elite: Dangerous, remember?

You know that you can mine in a RES don't you?, i had a wanted NPC open up on me, when i went to retaliate, a stupid clean NPC flew in-front of me and I incurred a wanted status, also i am not going to fly a great distance into another allegiance sector just to be interdicted and destroyed as you well know the T9 is a pretty big target.
Also i don't appreciate the smug response to my statement.

You have to fly like 1 system away, there's independent systems all over the place to pay off a bounty. As long as I see players with 100 million credits in assets that know so little about this game, I will remain as smug as I please. You've been given excellent advice as to what not to do in such a situation, and you would have been insane to attempt a boosted docking with a type 9 at a Wanted station before this patch anyways, as being scanned would get you destroyed by the station anyways. Don't tell us you managed to hot dock a type 9 while being fired upon by the station.

- Adfjusted Type 7 and Viper collision mesh to make them a bit harder to get stuck in the starport entrance cage

I've always wondered why the "toast racks" themselves weren't fully clipped from Day 1 unless it was intentional to cause comedic chaos in the mail slot.

- Fix Commander Stats for selling level 2 and level 3 survey scans

Very interesting..... Will have to have a look when I get back in game.

Just been kicked off the game for the update.

How does it update exactly? When I restart the log in screen it doesn't have an option to update the game?

you restart the launcher over and over until it says "upgrade" instead of play.

Does that apply to starports only - i.e., can we still dock at outposts even if we're Wanted?

Only the popo can scan you, and since Launch I've exactly once seen a security ship at an outpost. So outposts are probably still good to go, unless they're also givein a CAP

If I remember correctly a level 1 is the ping, level 2 is a normal scan of the surface and level 3 is a detailed scan of the surface.

Michael

Thanks for the reply Michael. As others have asked is it going to be retroactive? Also I'm guessing that the scans would be cumulative, so if you for example scanned 100 bodies with the normal surface scanner before you picked up the DSS, then the Level 2 scans will always be 100 higher than the Level 3?

Turning off the whole alternate mission path would instantly fix it and take a few minutes. 1.3 is almost two months away, that's a pretty damn long time to leave something as crucial as Assassination missions completely broken.

  1. Noone except the devs knows how long it would take to fix this or how complex it is to do so.
  2. We don't know how far off 1.3 is. We can only guess. Their internal milestones when things needs to be finished are also a lot sooner compared to when the public gets hold of them due to the build having to go through QA and Beta testing.
  3. Assassination missions are neither "crucial" in the grand scheme of things nor "completely broken".

I've always wondered why the "toast racks" themselves weren't fully clipped from Day 1 unless it was intentional to cause comedic chaos in the mail slot.

Way back when, they had a "force field" effect that shuffled ships into the centre of the tunnel.
