Michael no offense, but this is stupid.....small fines are small fines...how are we supposed to pay them, and how are large ships supposed to pay in outposts?
Does a fine make you wanted?

So, I just upgraded and ran ED to look at my (old) exploration stats:

Shows Level 2 scans but no Level 3 detailed scans?
Pretty sure I did a lot of detailed scans in my previous jaunts![]()
I looked and there isn't any new ones, and I thought these ones were free for all ships (accept anaconda)
I assume that this is to try to prevent afk farming of combat bonds by parking on/next to a friendly cap ship and letting them do all the work while you plink away with turrets...
However, as it only affects ships that have not declared an allegiance to one faction or another, there's nothing to stop people simply allying themselves to the cap ship on arrival (as I assume they would have done anyway) and then parking up as normal, I can't see that it's going to make any difference at all.
Am I missing something?
Level 2 and 3 scans? How do we accomplish this, when we cannot buy a level 2 or 3 discovery or surface scanner
Well, the notes say available on the store soon, so logically, this means you'll have to buy them like the other available liveries.
Hate to correct you but my stats are showing as:
I have ~4000 Level 2 and ~16 Level 3. I have done very little exploration without a detailed surface scanner.

They do indeed.Does a fine make you wanted?
How about docking your large ship at a station owned by a faction that doesn't want to kill you but the faction that does want to kill you has a presence elsewhere in the system? Clever, eh?
They do indeed.
If you're wanted in a Type 9, dock somewhere else and pay the bounty through pilot's federation? How do you have a Type 9 and do not know this is possible? How did you get wanted in a Type 9 in the first place, were you bounty hunting?

Turning off the whole alternate mission path would instantly fix it and take a few minutes. 1.3 is almost two months away, that's a pretty damn long time to leave something as crucial as Assassination missions completely broken.
Not stupid at all. They already introduced the "friendly fire" rule since people were complaining they couldn't avoid hitting friendly targets. Now, you just get bounties if you cause more than some specific amount of damage to a friendly ships shields. If you are still unable to prevent bounties from hitting friendly targets, you should consider improving your aiming skills or swallow the bitter pill and search for another station to pay of your bounty instead of requesting from the devs to make the friendly fire rules and everything that is connected to it even more forgiving.

I'm not even convinced that FD are sure what the difference between level 1, 2 & 3 are.
