High level review of Ascendancy:
1. Mandalay engine sounds, especially boost, is overpowering and way too loud. Same with the Type-8. You miss other cockpit sounds like the 'blip' from mass lock alert.
2. SuperCruise Assist in the Mandalay is not as good as in other ships and will fail at catching you when you dive in, even if you're in the mm/s speed range.
3. Galaxy Map solar system connection lines are OP, to the point I had to turn them off. So many lines it turns into a super bright spot at the target system where you can't see it or surrounding systems.
4. The Mandalay, just like the T8 and Python 2, continues to receive regular amounts of hull damage from SC flights. Newer, SCO factory-equipped ships were supposed to have better hulls to resist SCO forces. For a while, and until the first update, the Python Mk II barely got any damage, but now it gets as much as the regular Python with an SCO installed.
5. I liked how they moved the in-system status to its own mini tab on the Nav panel on the left. The information is arranged and displayed better as well.
6. I wasn't pledged to anyone but still marked as "hostile" around stronghold carriers. Can go visit the capitol ship in the same system but stronghold, nah. It's fine, strongholds are for paranoid NPCs anyway.
7. The powerplay screen when you first pledge is messed up in VR. The foreground screen overlaps with the background screen. You can still read everything, thankfully, but it doesn't look good at all. FDev: I volunteer as VR-user tester for the next update ;-)
8. Clicking on "Toggle Strategic View" in Galmap crashed me to desktop every single time. I won't be doing that again lol.
9. There's a ; in the PowerPlay task description for bounty hunting. OCD? yes.
10. Station "Holographic Adverts" are a targetable thing now. Why? Are we to scoop those and take them away to mess with enemy powers?
11. Did they fix bounty hunting?? I attacked one of the 3 NPCs in a wing and all 3 opened up on me yay!
