Can we you post this as the start for that new thread?

timo I think we should wait until the dx11 implementation for WINE kicks in before we start a new thread. At the moment we are at an impasse, but hopefully that will change in the next few weeks.
I will personally keep checking to see if there is a change in the current setup.
"My Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710 is plug and play on Debian"
Unfortunately, my $350 Saitek X65 is unlikely to ever have a Linux driver. As long as the Windows version is still viable, I'll stick with it so I can keep using my investment (as much I use Fedora also.)
There are SO MANY games I enjoy which will never be playable on Linux it would take a lot of changes in the game dev community for me to think of my linux as a game machine.
Don't get me wrong. You are preaching to the choir here. If Windows could go away without the quality game development also going away, I couldn't be more pleased.
While there is potential to increase a title's market share by adopting another platform, the number of Linux gamers seems too proportionately small to me compared to Win, Consoles and Macs.

I actually bought a Windows PC just to play Elite: Dangerous! Never had a windows machine in this house before...
Couldn't bear the thought of everyone else playing the game while I sit on my laurels, and had to bite the bullet.
If I'd have been a conscientious objector, I'd have waited... But sorry, had to sell outDarn glad I did, too!
Watching the Wine updates - well done, +1 to you, Pecisk!
