I can find places right now in the game, where you can have almost the very same hue on the skybox.
Please show me these planets which have blue skies in the game today. I'd LOVE to see it!

Watch the beginning of the video clip .... that is an atmosphere around the planet as the ship approaches, and it's a blue sky (i.e. atmospheric scattering of light).Where is there any indication of atmosphere? Everybody wears a spacesuit and carries a large gun in the pictures. Not a single word about atmosphere, either. I guess the smiley you added wanted to hint that neither of them actually was mentioned?
Something I've always wondered is how they are going to make space legs controllable with a HOTAS...
The transition to space legs would be jarring enough in VR if it involved switching control methods, without having to switch display as well.
i can confirm there is no VR supportOn the steampage there is no word about VR-compatibility...can someone just confirm if Odyssey supports VR or not (only if it's supported, not the actual detailed implementation of it).
My hope is that not just a graphical thing or shader change to make that. That it's actually in terms of the game flagging it as a "Atmospheric World"Look at the planet they are on. It has an atmosphere.
I can find places right now in the game, where you can have almost the very same hue on the skybox. So you're telling me that we actually were flying in atmosphere in space already since a long time and did not know it?
Sorry, outside of that color potentially being an artistic choice, some nebulas in the game produce the same. If that's all your evidence, please try some more.
There's similar issues with things like ARMA III - and it takes a while to set up but you tend to use multiple controllers in the end or just do everything with mouse and keyboard.Something I've always wondered is how they are going to make space legs controllable with a HOTAS...

And who might you be, then?i can confirm there is no VR support

I mean even as a graphical change, it looks good, but you know what I mean.
So, we'll finally have access to permit locked regions?[...] and explore with unrestricted freedom.[...]
just someone trying to helpAnd who might you be, then?
However, the association most people will have when you say ATMOSPHERES is not what is coming. This will just be the upgraded planetary graphics FD already mentioned, including ice-planets and better scattered debris. We will not get worlds with thick atmospheres like Earth or Venus. There will not be Earth-likes available to land on. FD already has a broad outline of paid expansions from the beginning with walking about and worlds with atmosphere as separate major development branches. So yes, there is atmospheric scattering in a limited way. Like vapor in craters today. Yes the visuals of some planets will have a bit of thin atmosphere, which could even just be dust and not gas. But if anyone expects gas-giant game play or landing on Earth they will be disappointed. There's a chance I will live long enough to get something from my LEP
