Have you seen a doctor about your motion sickness?LOL. The problem is the whiny noisy 3% destroying all the threads, including the concept art thread. Can't even discuss the concept art.

The next best option regarding VR would be similar to X-Plane - have the option to enable and disable VR while inflight via the press of a key. - I often use the monitor for pre flight and take off , then switch to VR as and when I like over scenic areas. - This might work well here too . Kill all the killin that needs to be done , return to your ship, enter the pilots chair , enable VR on the HOTAS , stick on the headset - Take off - No different to X-Plane
So you are saying drop high end gear then. Thankfully the games industry is not generally so short sighted. (That said my game time has been on the NES and SNeS of late
How dare you try to interject reason in the heated, rage filled feature demand!!
LOL
I know , what was I thinking?
/sarcasm.
Odyssey is not compatible with VR at Launch...
I guess that means exactly what it says on the tin, sorry.
Just to add to this, VR will still be compatible with the base game and Horizons!
Forums are not, and never have been, representative of most players.Uh huh. Then why all the "moaning" if it's just a few scant elements of the player base?
What utter nonsense!
Trium
HA HA HA HA HA!I just dropped serious money on a new gaming rig with VR for the future in mind ! ...
SC is looking better by the second.....
Stop being sensible. So you think none of this new planetary tech is included free with horizons? I think they are trying to say that FPS and bunch of new stuff is coming, it will not be compatible with VR.
I would be surprised if I am blocked from exploring an atmospheric ice world 10,000LY out, just because I don't want to walk around in 2D.
We need to see how the mechanics work, exiting the ship etc. And get further info from the devs. I think they have a huge amount to reveal.
So does that mean just for the new DLC or AT ALL? is VR support going to be removed? Is there a required update that will remove VR support completely until it's [probably never] added back in at some future date?
No, I love my HTC Vive, I started ED in VR.So you are saying drop high end gear then. Thankfully the games industry is not generally so short sighted. (That said my game time has been on the NES and SNeS of late

OMG the idea of VR in Star Citizen! LOL! Please stream that so we can watch!
You can control a ship in VR with mouse. You can control an SRV turret in VR with mouse. I don't see why you can't make an FPS shooter that uses VR and mouse in the exact same way you already did twice...
All that would be different is you'd need an aim dot that's more responsive than turret servos and ship thrusters.
I could understand there's a lot more complication involved with creating a VR controller system, but if you're going to hold back on VR support, you should hold back on the controller aspect of it, not the part you already made that works.
dittoA few hours later, and I'm still gutted. This is going to be tough to get over. Easily the worst Frontier decision ever, and probably the worst VR industry decision also. Heck, I can't even think of many worse gaming decisions period.
