I still search for a guide that explain how to escape from other ship,how to use the radar for go away from other ship...
i now download your guide and read it if i find about it..

if not ,can you make a guide\tutorial that explain how to use the radar for escape from other ship?

I mean if a ship follow me,and i want run away from she,how i need use the radar for make i go far from she.


EDIT: I can't believe this guide pdf it's Amazing! and it's free! i can't believe this it's really Amazing!

hmmm, radar(scanner) basically tells where the target is (so if enemy is not in front (upper triangle in scanner) - you are good to run), but going away is so easy now that doesn't need any tutorials - hit boost, turn FA off, enter super-cruise and you are away.

entering super-cruise is faster than hyperjump and after you are in super-cruise you can set new destination. that's it for now.

Thanks so much! before i read your guide until now!!! i can't believe u make this it's Amazing! also whit picture and all i eally so happy can read this!
now i understand more about radar!
Before i really dont know nothing about this,now that i see your guide i understand more,also before i never know i need go on green light when at dock station and more other think about trading! now i understand ++!

I Will try whit super cruise and boost too thanks! about turn FA off i think for me it's really impossible,coz i play whit xbox360 controller and i'm really super noob... and for me really impossible use FA off but sure whit your council about radar + boost + super cruise + all i read in your guide about radar and also your council sure i can play so better than before!

Really thanks so much whit all my hearth for your help and for all u make for community this Amazing guide.

Just a couple of Spelling Mistakes

Page 16 Enable Frame Shift Drive. Teh
Page 18 Toggle Landing Gear. Teh
Page 19 Headlock. Teh

i mean - when you are under attack:
1) hit boost;
2) hit FA OFF;
3) hit initiate super-cruise;
and then when countdown starts 4-3-2-1 turn FA ON, you will not fly in FA off longer than for 10 seconds - to keep speed after boost at maximum (this might change soon as i have heard :) also you can turn FA off/on as much as you like even for 0.5-1 second and if you are making turns it might speed a little, like pitch UP turn FA off keep pitching UP when you see target in front turn FA on and you are good to fly as usually :)

I am trying to proof read it, but found you fixed the previous spellings i found in 1.06 :D
I print off each new update, and try to read it, costing me a fortune in toner lol

omg, printing out each one, sorry for that :)

anyway if you find ANY mistakes please let me know.
last update was composed mostly by stuff from developers (went through all newsletters and dev forum posts) so there shouldn't be [m]any mistakes.
happy reading, hope you learned something new, i know that i did ;)

Yeah prefer to read on paper, i spiral bind them, and pass the previous copy to my son :)

And yes learnt loads of little bits.. :smilie:

I sometimes do a short tutorials for things you can do in elite ... just started out since I have a fast upload speed. This is the latest tutorial on doing a Friend Request while in-game , you can add it in the guide if you like here is the address.

if you make a tutorial series covering all basics then i will include the links or maybe even make a separate page for that ;) but i think it's too early now for that - need to wait at least when standard beta 2 is released or even until gamma to make serious video tutorials.

As a new player I have to say Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Much Appreciated!

It's been an immense help to me. It's cleared up a few question I had here at the start and I'm sure it will help answer other questions I'll surely have in the future.

Love it.

One minor error: in the landing pad location map the gray/grey box with 33 in the bottom left corner should say 34.

Spent ages looking for landing pad 34 on there before I realised it was missing and that there are two 33's.
