Hi Forger,

you can perhaps add 2-3 ship names on page 114.

See link below:
http://www.elite-dangerous.fr/index...vaisseaux-de-la-beta-classe-petite-et-moyenne

On the other hand in 2-3 days Beta 3 will come out with certainly more additional ship and some imperial ships (Imperial Hunter and the Imperial Courier or Trader) :)

On page 95, you could perhaps also add the version explanation like you did on page 96 for the Multi-cannons "scatter spray / overcharged / high impact"
=> for "Low Heat / Focused / Overcharged"

thanks for the info ;)

anyone know what focused laser does? as i didn't see any noticeable difference from standard version ;)

Thanks

Great guide and thank you :)but im still at the stage where i could do with a docking computer, but ill keep training and get good at free flight docking, thanks again from a realy harmless pilot.

Hopefully adding the new ships and stats should be a doddle because you can just screen grab them from the buy menu? I don't mind contributing for this if you're busy :).

already done :) except anaconda (which screen i got just now) all ships should have basic stats on their page taken from shipyards.
such small updates i usually do not announce as i am doing such every day ;)

Thank you for this, some good info in there. My only gripe is the sheer volume of it

"Look at the size of that thing!!" (as the actress said to the bishop)...

My only gripe is that it isn't big enough (j/k)

Thank you so much for taking time to do this for us, it's absolutely brilliant. BTW here's a nice tip for anyone who reads digital books or artbooks/comics in general: I like to export the pages from these adobe pdf's (usng adobe acrobat pro) as high quality jpegs so I can read it nicely via my PS3/TV with the XMB photo viewer. Well I don't have an ipad/tablet handy at the moment and my ipod is a little too small to read it on nicely with my adobe book reader but the big flatscreen at home connected to the PS3 is really nice, clear and simple to read it on. Just put all the exported pages (photos) in a folder, drag and drop it via a USB stick/drive and select "display all" on the USB drive on the PS3 XMB. Nice relaxing way of reading these digital books on a huge screen I found if you don't have an ipad/tablet handy. Looking forward to the next version, thanks again!

Hi, forger. Thanks for an excellent (and ongoing) job on the manual. I find myself referring to it often. Would it be possible for you to do up the manual only with a pure white background? My toner would thank you. BTW, have some rep.

Edit: Oops. Gave myself rep instead of forger. I'll clothe myself in sackcloth and heap ashes upon my head in penance.

Select "View as single page continuous" in Adobe Acrobat's 'Page Display' (View tab) then type Control+A (select all) and Control+C (copy). Then open a text editor (i.e. Microsoft Word) and type Control+P (paste). That's it. No graphics, just text, ready to edit yourself as you like it with your desired page layout, background etc. for printing.

http://www.mediafire.com/download/k...ts+Guide.Manual.Tutorial.printer.friendly.pdf

here is the printer friendly version - no background and all text is black, there are still images as to remove those would take too much time, hopefully it helps, just print out in black&white and should be much better to read now ;)

Wow, 93 MB PDF..

Thanks a lot, I need it, cause I failed the long distance travel tutorial.
Not to mention that it took me 2 hours to figure out how to request a frigging landing permission.

all usefull info..
All i am missing is .. How to do this and this... example:

How to start as a newbie ..
What you can and cannot do straight of the bat with your small sidewinder.
Conflict zones, how to find them and Conflict zones, how to do them properly in your starting vessel
Conflict zones advanced..

same for trading:
How to start of trading.
How the do's and don't.
What am i looking for, what are normally good routes?

Same for Miner..
Where can i find a mining laser (in starting areas)..
Where do i find a refinery. how do i buy/equip them
what do i need to be able to start this enterprise.. what do i need to watch ..
where how / where am i supposed to look for resources..

Weapons guide..
What weapons should i invest in early on.. what ones are worth it.. is getting a torpedo launcher early on worth it .. propably not..
etc..

These are all questions I'd love to read about (or youtube) .. just so i would be able to make a choice what to invest into.

most of those questions are answered in videos like in playlist here :)

just keep in mind that game is changing all the time and making in depth articles is waste of time currently, they will be added in time.
