Instead of nerfing and rolling back, how you buff other activities? Roll backs are disrespectful and annoying to those who have put in the hours and quite frankly, don't incentivise players to continue with the PP2 show... or even the game for that matter.
whats the problem? the only things that care about who really want to play Powerplay is the competition between other power, nobody care about our rank. i dont care about my rank, i just want to help my power to win in the system where is needed. whats the difference to see 500.000 vs 400.000 or 50.000 vs 40.000 ? no difference, same proportion.
they can nerf or buff, on one who seriously play powerplay care.

The higher your rank, the more powerplay commodities you can hand in per half hour. So rank is relevant
but not mandatory, and cmon, no one in that moment rush his rank to have more powerplay commodities, anyway, i feel ok because you have to gain your powerlpay commodoties, no reason you can reach the maximun allocation in just a couple of day of gameplay. it will be a MONTHS travel to reach the peak.

What mechanics has FDev implemented for defenders of strongholds to be able to defend at the same merit per hour rate as SLF hunting stronghold attacks ?
Worst case: let them undermine it down to Fortified, then immediately re-fortify it the following week. You've then got a Stronghold without a carrier, which they can't do as much about and still gives most of the same benefits.
(Sure, the carriers are nice for outfitting, but you always at least have your HQ carrier for that)

It would be great if this suspension is balanced with something like CZ and bounty hunting. Right now, those two activities with an exponential amount of risk vs trade produce nothing significant.
I'm not sure the risk calculation is that straightforward.

Merits are paid instantly on kill, and from moderate rank friendly-space/Power-kill rebuys are paid entirely, so at that point you don't lose anything in a Powerplay sense except for a few minutes getting back to the instance if you get killed while bounty hunting or doing Power CZs.

Conversely if you're trading and somehow manage to get shot down, you lose the cargo before you can get merits for it.

(More interdictions for cargo haulers I would absolutely support - then I can combine hauling with bounty hunting and get paid twice! - but it's not really about the relative risks)

But !
What a lovely war it would be. If open only PP2.0 imagine the carnage!
Stacked queues on outposts, letterbox pile ups, campers at the 10km marker, stalkers guarding their assets as enemy's attempt to fly in/fly out.
Only those who don't want to fight or can't, would not like it.
Just a question of when if you ask me. I'm scared pantsless as I approach in my missileboat type 8. But boy does it pack a punch when attacked. We learn as we go on.

Not as much as you might think. 250 commodities (Rank 100+) every 30 minutes is about 375 merits (from memory). You can easily earn more than that in the same time doing just about anything else.

It's more of a matter that I can collect Power commodities while I eat breakfast, while preparing dinner, when I'm busy with housework, or during all the other "limited attention" gaming opportunities I have at home, and then make a delivery when I've got time to focus on the game, before moving on to other PowerPlay activities.

I support fixing bugs, but PP2.0 is over for me, I don't like to get a little bit of merit and spend hundreds of hours to grind the level, I don't have the time and patience to finish a boring game, this is torturing for me. In this game we have so many thing can do, Idk why frontier want people spend lots of time to grind a boring thing. Terrible!

For 6 days straight I collected rare goods from the Leesti/Orrere/Diso/ area, loaded them onto my Fleet Carrier, and then when I was full with Twenty. Five. Thousand. Tonnes. of the things I hopped to my system. Sold them all using a shieldless Type 9, which took another day. But seeing those ranks counters move up was very nice. I also dabbled in escape pod retrieval but the game servers made collecting then slow, and the collector limpet glitches didn't help. I'm at PowerPlay 2.0 Rank 100.

I just started PowerPlay2.0 and can't finish my first assignment because of the rare items. fdev will make no exception here?
Edit: Nevermind. It actually works, you just need to find the correct system...

Most likely it would just produce unplayable open instances. It is not the lack of ideas or concepts stopping the open-only idea, it is the netcode. Funny how people still don't get that, but at the same time telling everybody complaining about stuck thargoid dingdongs in open to go to solo instead.
