"giving tainted love"

to use multiple shield cell banks to constantly boost shields.

"went up against a discoconda last night but i just boiled him up after giving my Shields some tainted love"

possibly derived from the use of the term to soft cell your shields.

Always thought the "toaster" rack as a barbecue or "griddle" when a space cow gets stuck in it and blocks up the slot. You just have to wait for the "Weber Kettle"(station) to get up to cooking temperature and watch it char broil your steak right in front of you.

Some of these aren't really natural and it's getting a bit urbandictionary/viz profanisaurus in here, that said:

Sunbather: A lazy fuelscooper sat at 0 throttle, ripe for interdiction.
Lasso: The FSD interdictor/the act of FSD interdicting.
Wrangled: A successful interdiction/being interdicted.
Bronco: A surprisingly difficult to interdict pilot.

"Dropped into Morgor yesterday and scoped a sunbathing delboy, so i tried to lasso him, he was a bit of a bronco but i wrangled him down eventually."

On my exploration trips, I tend to call activating my basic discovery scanner 'pinging'. As with a sonar ping or a network ping. Did anyone else have the same association?

Delboy: One who believes that the only legitimate profit is through trade, and the law is irrelevant. Named after the ancient Terran historical figure "Delboy Plonkah" (Delboy being an honorific title) who ran the great trading empire of Pek'Am of Terra millenia ago. Disciples of the Delboy were called "Rodders" and each Rodder worked towards the goal of being a millionaire by next year. The Delboy perished in a trap laid by his great rival The Arfa of Dalee, in which he fell to his death through a hole in a bear (note: this could be a mistranslation)

Delboys honour the memory of the original Delboy by performing a ritual known as "The Crimbo Special" once a standard solar year, and children of Delboys wait for the mythical jolly bearded figure of Uncle Albert to bring them gifts and stock tips.
