Could the racers help you though?Christ on a bike ... what the hell?!?!
I may well be out at this point if that means I have to build half a dozen more outposts or whatever before I can construct the surface race track that is my only goal here.
Thanks for sharing that tho.
i got stucked with quest of colonizationGreetings Commanders,
With the launch of our Trailblazers update we will be bringing System Colonisation to Elite Dangerous! The launch of System Colonisation will be as a live Beta for the feature, allowing us to review data and make adjustments over time. This is a significant update to Elite Dangerous and whilst we are very happy with the feature we do understand that some fine tuning may be required initially.
Though this is a Beta it will be on the live version of the game and any actions/progress made will NOT be wiped unless a significant issue is identified. Here is a brief explanation of how the Beta works:
What the System Colonisation Beta is
- Feature complete
- All actions/resource payments made are final and will not be refunded
- A period where we can monitor data and make balancing adjustments
What the System Colonisation Beta is not
- A work in progress
- There will be no progress wipes
- There will be no resource refunds
The aim of the Beta is to gather data and feedback specifically focused on resource balancing. We are happy with the System Colonisation feature itself and whilst we are always happy for you to share your feedback the aim of this Beta is aimed firmly at resource balancing and not changes to the feature itself.
To help us in our balancing we will be using this thread for you to share your feedback on the following areas:
As always you are welcome to share additional feedback on the forums or to raise an issues you encounter on our Issue Tracker.
- Amount of resources required
- Amount of time/distance taken to complete tasks
the quest isn`t finished when i finished my stationGreetings Commanders,
We are aware of reports of Commanders attempting to colonise a system at the same time and that this is causing an issue in some cases. We are investigating and will share any updates when available.
Roll up roll up roll up - the first race of the "3311 Magic 8 Ball Championship" is called "Thinly Veiled Slave Drive". You start at any system stocking CMM Composites, Steel or Titanium and the finish line is the colonisation ship currently parked in Hyades Sector ZU-Y d68. You need to carry at least 50 units per trip and this is a 10 lap race. Have fun everyone!Could the racers help you though?
Yep IMO those required quantities are going to need to be set to just 20% of the current values. A station needing 30000 aluminium and titanium etc., I get and it should be a hard slog mission. But an always rare in game commodity at that same amount as regular construction materials? No, come on. It also doesn't make sense lore-wise to just keep buffing the amounts that it spawns at...Yes, the CMMs need a rethink, even after increasing the amount available and the refresh time, you are not considering the player demand. As a result for even Outpost build you need 4700 CMMs, and after a couple of hours, I've only managed a couple of hundred. This does not make for great gameplay.
Next thursday server maintenance is when it completes iircthe quest isn`t finished when i finished my station
I need a little bit more than that, 52,310. Time will tell if I get enough, but in the last 4 hours I have collected 2,731. You might just be unlucky. If you can try a different source system for them, the quantity might be higher.Yes, the CMMs need a rethink, even after increasing the amount available and the refresh time, you are not considering the player demand. I found 1500t in no less than two jumps, no searching elsewhere, that's more than I could haul. By the time I scooped it up, delivered and returned, it was back. Are they really that rare? I get what you're saying, but this seems to be at the root of all the complaints.Roll up roll up roll up - the first race of the "3311 Magic 8 Ball Championship" is called "Thinly Veiled Slave Drive". Other commanders reported that they were able to unclaim and reclaim some time later, that‘s why I even tried it....or may be until next tick. I guess we'll have a lot of these apparently weird situations until tick/4 weeks elapse. Also, we don't know if there's any cooldown period for the various actions [the whole feature is still on "beta" testing as they stated].

this. I had no issues filling up what I needed within a few hrs (outpost) within nearby systems. Might come down to where people are expanding. In my quadrant there is only me and one other expansion, so there is that..I found 1500t in no less than two jumps, no searching elsewhere, that's more than I could haul. FWIW CMM's were satisfied much earlier than titanium or steel for my outpost.
Happened to me exactly like this last night, will just go back to preloading my carrier for nowI’m unable to cancel a claim on a system right now.
I‘have gone through the claiming process and choose a station. The construction material the station needed turned out to be prohibitive (50’000, some even 60‘000 and difficult to find). When I realized that I wouldn‘t be able to fulfill the demands within 4 weeks, I wasn‘t able to switch to a less costly station model. So I choose to abandon the entire claim.
Now I‘m stuck, because
… after I abandoned the claim, the system immediately became blocked for a reclaim. After some time, the colonization ship has left,
but the system remained inaccessible for a reclaim.
Later, I‘m again filed as the architect of the system. The construction ship is still gone and the system seems empty and claimable when I visit it. But as I‘m still (and not anew) filed as the architect and I still have 3 weeks and 5 days remaining to finish a construction (which is no longer there), I cannot reclaim this system or claim any other. Also I cannot resume the construction. Abandoning the construction claim again results in an error red flag saying „cannot release system claim“. Looks like I‘ll remain stuck for the remaining of the 4 weeks right now.
I just visited three ground ports which had a total of 1600 CMMs. The problem appears to be more how people look for them (inara?) than the actual supply, although I can appreciate there must be areas where there is high competition for them - but then that's just an aspect of playing a shared galaxy at a time when a new feature results in hugely higher demand.Yes, the CMMs need a rethink, even after increasing the amount available and the refresh time, you are not considering the player demand. Are the "settler" factions considered "native" in the new system? Or are they not such... so we're having systems with no native factions? The rando other faction is placed there as a default. Once the colony ship arrives, the faction you expanded with will also be there.
Singular faction systems are problematic, so they randomly assign another nearby faction (this sounds like a very good reason for the range limit)
