Elite Dangerous | Trailblazers Release Schedule

Naw, that's just the smell of the bearings in the server fans as they try to spin up to 11...
The servers will be fine...

I really hope that FD can teach us to be bubble builders...no information yet, but I am wondering if there is any logic behind what economies you establish in these new systems. Are there benefits to an Agri system if an earth-like or water world exists, for example. Does a Extraction benefit from rich deposits on planets/rings.... I want to do this, but I want to do it right.

Let's do it in '84 old style and discover everything during play ;D

I think the main issue with something like colonisation is that if they put it in a traditional beta it wouldn't get properly tested (because very few people are going to commit to proper large scale colonisation endeavours knowing that all their effort and progress will ultimately get thrown away). So they've decided (with a certain amount of confidence) to put it into the live game so people can get properly stuck into it knowing their efforts will not be wasted ... with the caveats that:
a) They reserve the right to tweak the numbers (e.g. they might increase the range or reduce the costs) and won't retrospectively refund (or penalise) those who did their first colonisation efforts using the previous (possibly easier, possibly harder) numbers.
b) They do still reserve the right to do a progress wipe should things turn out to be a complete colostomy explosion.
You have to learn to read between then lines.
Your point b and the right to wipe or change if anything happens, obviously, refers to, as always, some people will try to find exploits and exploit them... so there will be consequences as they should.

What the disclaimer really means is:
I can't decide if you're joking. They just very carefully explained exactly how that specific aspect of the update will work.
Yes. It has been clearly stated that the live game will be in software beta mode for an indefinite period of time. Anything bad happens, any negative effects, anything at all to the overall game as a result of this week's updates everybody should shrug it off because the entire live game is now in beta mode.

If all goes great, fantastic. If there is a new list of bugs and broken items, hey, np, the game is in beta mode.

I wish I could get away with this concept with my work projects. It is quite the disclaimer.
