Great Job!

07 - I have noticed an increase in the demand for materials for building structures. Yesterday I placed a Coriolis in a new system and it required just under 70,200 units of materials to be delivered; I remembered just over 50,000. Has there been a rebalancing or am i wrong?

updated the launcher and I am in and playing so no probs here.
One thing tho -I cant see any of the 5 new Mega ships in the Galaxy map. There are only the pre-existing Rescue Mega ships shown. There is no icon in the display settings for the new Supply Mega ships.

How do we locate then new ones from the recent CG?

UPDATE: Ah - just seen the post from Paul C above (it wasn't there when I was typing this post)

What a hot mess. I mean damn. I've been away from elite for a minute fo sho, but is this crap normal after an update? embarrassing.
From my eight years in ED I would say that issues immediately after an update are normal but what they are, how severe they are and what is affected varies.
Back when I started my issues where relatively minor but Steam players would have trouble every time.

The advice don’t play on patch day seemed to have been around for a while before I started.

What do you mean by "Undo Construction"? Do you mean dismantle a base/settlement during the construction phase or once it is completed?
What would happen to the materials already contributed to a build? Do they just disappear?
Is that fair to commanders who contribute time and materials to a build?
They could have spent their time helping other commanders who want to develop their systems but would be left at the whim of timewasters possibly?

What do you mean by "Cancel Colonisation"? Abandon a system where contruction has already started or where no construction has taken place?
There is already a mechanism to abandon a claim if a system has been claimed in error.
What problem would "Cancel Colonisation" solve that "Cancel Claim" doesn't?
I'm within walking distance of a dollar store. I'll buy you some pearls to clutch. :)

Guess this is caused by

the game being unable to locate a suitable position for the initial starport, which can occur for many different reasons.

which is an ongoing issue.

I had the same on a system a couple of days ago, and when I looked at the system map in architect view, there was no little flag which would indicate the position of the primary starport.

ya, like I said. embarrassing. I play all diff kinds a games. "don't play on patch day" isn't a thing for any of them. ah well, c'est la vie

Any plans to have journal entries for the system colonisation itself.
Currently (as I understand it) 3rd party tools (such as Inara) can't track the status of systems that are colonised and under construction. It would help the community support significantly if you could use Inara or similar to identify nearby systems that were under construction that you could assist with.
I also in the journals couldn´t find any "claim" event or similar - and I know exactly when I last claimed a system....

Coriolis as primary-port? yeah, the lower numbers you mentioned are for regular ones (placed after primary port finished), primary is ~ +25% Infrastructure-Tax

made it in after 40mins and the system that i had been looking at for 10 days now is still.. yup u guessed it! Yaaaa, so good.View attachment 422018
If you read the 1st post carefully, they did not say that this was going to be fixed, but instead that these systems would be marked as invalid after the 1st attempt (yours).

Then, later on, they will get fixed and available gradually...

Or so I understood 😀
