Elite Dangerous | Trailblazers Update 2 - Wednesday March 19

well they got payed at the very moment when they delivered the individual goods/shipments and there are no global rewards, so that argument is a little short-sighted.
It’s hard to take your dismissal as being made in good faith. It’s much the same as many CGs in that the motivation is largely based on having an Outcome in the game world. The global reward is the construction of a space station.

If frontier had canceled their most recent CG and said:

“actually nah we’re not going to ever have those construction megaships after all, but you all got your money so no harm no foul”

It would be widely understood as a problem. Some people might forgive such a choice, but if it became an ongoing pattern where at any time a CG might have the outcome cancelled by the devs last second? It would kill the whole premise for most people and participation would collapse.

Haulers can trade goods for cash at a profit in a million different ways. All the payouts do for Construction Sites is offset the inconvenience and opportunity cost of picking this over that The prize is participation in Building something, plus permanent recognition on a leaderboard if you contribute enough.

You want an undo button which undoes other people’s work. It would have to come with commensurate solutions for those impacted by a decision over which they get no say, and a corresponding obligation/responsibility on the part of the person making such a unilateral and arbitrary decision.

I can think of mechanisms to do this, but:
1) you wouldn’t like them
2) they would be much harder to implement compared to just not allowing system architects the option.

This isn't a CG thought, unless you are lucky enough to get players involved in your personal system, somehow. I dare say that most, if not 95%+ of constructions are contributed on by a single player, and that most that want to be canceled, are not contributed on, or barely at all, due to part of the reasons being that it was placed on the wrong spot, or under wrong assumptions.

At the very least adding it to constructions in progress that haven't been contributed on, or very little, should cause no issue.

Severe stavility issues here....Nearly 2 hours until and I'm getting reperitive mauve adders. It's been like this for a number of days (I think since the server update a few days ago).

I have, three times very recently had nothing my Odyssey fuel rat account and my Live Horizons fuel rat caaount (running on separage PCs) mauve adder simultaneously whilst just sitting in normal space with galmap open.

Also 50 mins or so ago, on a ruel aat rescue, I had problems accepting team invites.. The option was there in the menus, but clicking on it did nothing... Then suddenly it worked. Servers should had time to get stable by then.,

Question for @Paul_Crowther and FD:
When will the journal/API and the journal help be updated ?
There are so many tools that work with it that unfortunately no longer accompany the current game as they could or would.
The last update was version 37 in May 2023  !

Sure! Let me just finish my pirate raid on an FC so I can get some Insulating Membranes without paying exorbitant rates ☠️😁
No need!
got into game, picked up 2 missions got both mats to spare! Now to find a bartender with the 1 remaining Faction Associate datum I need at a reasonable (??) price!

Not much love for the bottom half of the bubble as far as Trailblazer megaship placement goes. 1 (in Ngobe) serving the bottom half? And that at the far Rimward end for the AX crowd? Meanwhile 5 more covering the top 3rd(!) of the bubble? Couldn't these have been spread out more equitably? You knew how many you were going to have to work with. Life exists below Sol.

Will this help with fleet carrier jump times too? I.e. reduction from the 1 HR + times we see during prime times when lots of players are online?
Please stop asking about this. Fleet carrier jump times are dynamic. 15 minutes is the minimum spin up time. More carriers trying to jump means longer spin up times. No update or bug fix is required for this as it is a game mechanic.

Greetings Commander,

We are aware of reports of connection issues and our team are investigating.
Just received more mauve adders on both rat accounts that I had logged in... Connecting from England. Prior to one mauve adder (just a couple of mins ago) I was passing through the Resume Menu, and I saw the social button on the meny grey out just prior to receiving the colourful snake.

Yes well you’re responding to a conversation I was having with someone else.

You and I agree with the premise of being able to cancel a Build Order with zero cargo contributions yet made. This was the starting point for the initial discussion between myself and the other person.

And sure, if it’s a small (or any really) amount of cargo contributed by the System Architect themself, I also see no reason to disallow a build cancelation.

Beyond that, though? Absolutely not. Nobody should have the ability to unilaterally reverse someone else’s game progression, and handwaving it away with “probably not very many people will be affected by this” and/or “it’s not the same as a CG” doesn’t cut it.

When performance degrades so it is taking five times longer than it should at every daily peak, pretty much every business I've ever worked with (literally hundreds of them) will call that a performance issue and accept as a defect.

Now it might then be deemed Sev 4 and won't be fixed for years, but saying "it's a not a problem" is just flat out nonsense. It's not intended behaviour and it's not acceptable to most players.
