Eagle Turreted Pulse lasers not working

Yea so where do i put in bug reports????

So im putting it here. I found the other thread with the eagle gimbal issue, but its closed, as well as all other bug threads... funny. My weapons wont fire, no matter what. Please fix. I paid good $ for this game and i keep having issues trying to play it.

Hi everyone,

- Added ship discount to Founders World

Thanks!

Michael

Yea ok, thanks but what about all the backers who lost their founders world permits since version 1.0 I opened a support ticket on 19th December regarding this, and not even an update has been posted. It's all fine and dandy to get new backers, but why not take care of the existing backers first, and provide the level of support expected of a game no longer in Beta.

Dissatisfied Commander Zulu

I was seeing a potentially related issue last night after upgrading to a type 6 and sometimes being denied docking at an outpost that already had an NPC docked.
After watching and waiting for the NPC to launch, I noted that the landing pad doesn't immediately realign itself for a landing.
If you request docking permission it will be granted, but you cannot land as the platform is incorrect and no holograms or landing guide appears. Cancelling docking then allows the pad to recess and spin to the correct orientation. A 2nd landing request then activates hologram/landing guide and you can land on the pad. I'm wondering if landing pads might be waiting too long after a ship departs before resetting.
But anyway, asking twice for docking permission is a work-around if anyone else has the same issue happen to them.

Can confirm this. I've noticed if you are denied docking the first time you request, and then granted the second time, the landing guide will not show up on your radar, but you can still actually land sometimes - just have to manually gauge where the sweet spot is. Other times it seems like you just bounce around blindly. I've found cancelling your docking request and then re-requesting it resolves the problem.

Has there been any progress on tracking down the bug whereby non-laser munitions, when fired, just disappear from the magazine but do not actually fire? I have a ticket on this, 00000020927, but it has thus far not advanced beyond the 'New' state; there is no indication it has even been looked at.

Since the 1.05 update, I have found that the missions offer much less rewards for doing them. I was regularly (about 10% of the time) able to take a mission for 100k+ for between 17 & 50 tonnes of cargo. Now all I'm offered is missions for 3k to 5k for between 2t - 8t of cargo, with an occasional 18k to 40k mission.
Before the update yesterday, I did around 30 missions, and about 3 of those were for between 100k and 150k, but since then, I have done about 50 missions, with only one being for 100k, one being for about 42k and two being for 18k. All the rest have been less than 10k.
Was this a change included in the update, or am I just being very unlucky and not being in the right place, at the right time to get the big paying missions? :(

Has anyone noticed if the stats are fixed? Have not cleared save since before launch and have all sorts of nonsense in mine such as 0 Assassinations (true but at one point is said 2) but it also says I have earned x amount of credits from assassinations. That is just one example. Thinking I should start over doing IronMan mode before I go any further with my game but if stats are still bugged might as well wait.

The "Mission update resets kill count" bug is NOT fixed. I did a pirate hunt (kill 5 pirates in A or B) mission like 2h ago, killed 2 pirates in system A, went to system B. The next USS was the NPC updating my mission contract and AGAIN the counter was reset so I had to kill another 5 pirates.
On top of that it really is a pain in the ... now to have multiple missions as the next USSes tend to be mission updates for every single mission you have. Go to a station, take 4-5 missions and the next 5 USSes will be NPCs updating everything before you can even start to do your first mission.
The whole mission update system is broken, so PLEASE get rid of those updates. If I accept to hunt pirates I WILL hunt them. I don't need anybody to talk me out of this. Just let me kill them and stop annoying me with broken mission updates which just waste my time.
And while I'm at complaining ... for god's sake get rid of that stupid "mission = USS only" crap. If I'm told to kill x pirates in system A it should not matter where I kill them. Let me fly to a Nav Beacon and look for wanted targets. Let me hunt them at extraction sites or just pull wanted targets out of FSD travel. The whole USS - mission system is broken, boring and lazy game design.

This is my first post and I registered just to say this.

I've been loosely following this game for a while now, ever since alpha. I saw on a few sites that the game had officially launched so as soon as I had a spare 60 USD, I bought it since I looked so good in the two or three gameplay videos I had ever watched. I was aware of the refund fiasco and I'm aware that made a lot of people upset. I also understand that there's a lot of issues with this game, from the USS system, to bugs and imbalance.

But, seriously, some of you are so entitled. I mean, I cannot stop playing this game. I'm ranting and raving to anyone and everyone that doesn't even listen about how freakishly good this game is. It's seriously terrifying to think that this game is going to get better, and the release schedule of patches and fixes (weekly, is it? Are you joking? Usually one would be lucky for monthly patches!) is speedy. To have weekly updates that actually give real detail about planned features and even stating time tables for major updates is so unusual. It took Ubisoft well over a month to fix an issue with USB devices causing black screens for people before introducing an issue where shadows would freak out like crazy, which they never fixed.

And you all are complaining that you have to pay attention to those sliders when flying for a USS. That the USS system is boring. Bugs like "oh em gee I kill two pirates and then someone talked to me and now I have to start over! THIS IS BULL FRONTIER! S! POOR DESIGN! GARBAGE DEVELOPMENT! YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR FANS! BLA BLA BLA!"

I'm over here like "If this game gets any better, I'm gonna have to quit my job and school and break up with my girlfriend. This game will ruin my freaking life." I'm having dreams of this game. How can you all completely not recognize the brilliance of this game? How can you not sit there and say wow every time you pop another ship, or feel the satisfaction of slipping one under the Feds and selling some goods on the black market? Or bask in the glory of that moment you watch some moron careen face first into a bulkhead and watch his ship shatter apart and think to yourself that that could be you. Yelling out loud obscenities when that juicy 15k bounty managers to jump out? That moment you get interdicted by a pirate and pin around and say "Oh, !" when it says "Elite" on the scan?

No, it's USS system is lame, trading is hard, I can't plot a route more than whatever lightyears, it takes me a half hour to pilot to a station in supercruise occasionally, I have to wait a month and some change to have "meaningful experiences" with my friends in a free updates and I've been playing since there were only a handful of combat tutorial missions, supercruise is boring, and on and on and on and on. Holy Christ alive.

Chill the out. Stop being so entitled. Wait a little while. Clutch your god damn nuts. If you're complaining about the game being boring after you've dumped 800 hours into it, shut your entitled brat mouth. One should be so lucky to have such an amazing game as is, with updates and fixes in such a timely manner.

That is all.

thanks, great work.

I heard that we receive negative rep with factions for "Declining" a mission (rather than accepting it). I consider that to be a bug or mis-feature. Has it been fixed, or are you going to look at it soon?

Sure, give us negative rep for reneging on a mission we already accepted, but not for declining a mission that we are just reading, instead of pressing "back"!

What? Is this true?

I would really like to be able to put dumbfire missile racks back on my ships. Not being able to use them since they waste 50% ammo by firing backwards is annoying. How this even happens in the first place would be interesting to know. They are my preferred hull crusher and I would love to be able to go back to using them, sooner rather than later. Thanks for the otherwise great game and work.

AI Kill stealing is back :(

So I've lost about 400k in bounties over the last couple of days from kills where I've whittled the enemy down by a massive amount, and the AI has fired a couple of shots and killed my target. This is especially annoying on anacondas that I've spent half my ammo and expendables on.

Why was this taken out of the game only to be put back in??? its driving me crazy and makes attacking Anacondas in resource extraction sites near pointless.

I freaking love this game, you guys at Frontier have done an amazing job, keep the hits coming. But please change this back to how it was in 1.04

Well, goodness, that's quite a rant. I agree with you though. But I think the whingers and moaners are well and truly in the minority. Those of us that really love this game (I hate calling it a game) are too busy exploring to write much in the forums. I'm only here now because the server is being reset.
I waited for this updated version of Elite for many years and in my opinion it is brilliant. I'm really looking forward to linking it up with some sort of VR platform in the next year or so.
Keep up the good work, lads.

Regarding kill stealing by NPCs.

Does anyone ever stop to think about how much kill stealing players do to the NPCs? How often do you use NPCs as a distraction for the targets weapons fire or to whittle down its shields and hull before you get a few hits in the final moments to claim the bounty? Why should we be gauranteed the bounty, we are in competition with other players and the NPC security forces and BHs for the money. What's the point of playing if we are always given the prize regardless of what else happens?

[Snippity snip].

I felt like this about the original Elite. I once played it for 24 hours on a swingshift (12-on, 12-off; days to nights) and went back into work without any sleep at all. All I did was talk about the game with the others who played it too. One guy even bought a BBC-B just so he could play the game. Those not in the know looked at us funny when we talked about smuggling firearms and drugs:eek:! <sigh>Those were the days.

Except that I only found the bug after the ships purchase. And sucking on that leaves a really nasty taste. And I will probably lose again if I PX it for another ship later on as from what I am understanding I will only get PX value of a discounted ship. And whether it represents a number of millions or a number of thousands is totally irrelevant. My number of millions represents my hours of gameplay and the other players thousands represent their hours of gameplay. the hours probably being similar. Or is it you think if I can afford to buy a Python I really deserve to be cheated out of a few million.

I feel your pain, commander. I lost millions. I sold my Asp, outfitted a type 7, decided I'd rather have the Asp back, sold the 7, re-outfitted the Asp, decided to try one different thing with the type 7, re-outfitted a type 7 slightly differently, then decided ultimately that no... the Asp was the right way to go with Mil-comp armor and weapons... Only, suddenly I could no longer afford the military composite armor, or the weapons.

It is at this point that fanboys will say something like, 'it's your fault for not doublechecking costs, etc' -- which would only be true if approaching the game from a perspective of distrust. But since every other sale/purchase made previously at the shipyard/outfitters in Shinrarta Dezhra was afforded with zero loss, it was reasonable to assume that was still the case. Especially since there was no notice of any changes in the newsletter.

In terms of credits lost... On the one hand, who cares? It's easy to make more. On the other hand, I've been trying to make it back for three days now. That bug represents three days of lost time to me. Or I should say at least three days of lost time, because I still haven't made back what I lost. :(

I'm not bothered about not being able to kill steal from the AI. That's just fine by me, because they don't do 99% damage to an Anaconda. If I saw a ship being attacked by security below 50% or 33% or such I'd just know to move on and find my own target. That is a lot less hassle than spending 15 minutes fighting a Python or Conda for a security Viper to turn up and fire one cannon round and take the kill.

Seriously it makes bounty hunting much less enjoyable knowing that the hard work isn't rewarded, just make sure to get that last 0.1% of health, it feels very cynical. I wouldn't be so frustrated if this mechanic hadn't been taken out of the game only to be put back in.
