hmmm iv always been able to do this on controller??Oh wow, I've just discovered the best thing about Update 13. They have ninja added the default control pad interactions to the on foot menus in Elite!
Because the game only has 2 sets of bindings, I have all the UI menu navigation, select and back, set to my HOTAS and my Keyboard. This means that when I use a Control Pad to walk around (which I do when not doing combat so I don't have to move my setup) I still have to use one of the other 2 methods to select to open the lift, or use Pioneer Supplies. Not any more!I can just carry on using the d-pad and A/B on the Xbox Controller.

You already have the primary control bindings set to the Control Pad. Just had this error pop up again. Also had a hard CTD the other day where the Crash Reporter didn't pop up at all.The following issue with the Crash reporter has now been fixed: Crash Reporter reports an Object Reference Not Set to an instance of an Object error.

And so, Salvation is nigh…Update 13 and the conclusion of the Azimuth Saga are only a short number of hours away and we’re on the edge of our cockpit seats.
Before we get down to the business of update notes ahead of downtime and deployment, let’s recap today’s release deployment schedule.
We are still very much on track and working to the following, remaining itinerary:

- Server downtime begins for all Elite Dangerous Odyssey and Horizons players, on all platforms.
[NEW] 13:30
- Elite Dangerous servers will be back online across all platforms.
- Update 13 will be available.
The update notes will be delivered here in two sections within the same post.

Thats correct EVERY time you log in, pressing 'ESC' does skip it but wouldn't it be better to allow an option to stop it running at all, I mean after so long it's not even entertaining anymore just an annoyance.AFAIK, it plays every time you login (at least in Odyssey)..
If you get tired of watching it, pressing escape seems to work.
Otherwise it's just a .webm video file local to your computer..![]()
Still shaking my head at why FDEV didn't simply put a check into the code indicating if you already watched it at which point you can optionally rewatch it from the codex or such.I'm sure that it will disappear at some point, a mouse click also works and doesn't seem too onerous..
I can think of hundreds of things in game that could need the dev time better than adding an option for skipping it. Not to mention the people which turned it off complaining that they missed the next cut scene.![]()
