You promised us excitement - the finale was for me! Now you can relax a little, it went well - thank the team for me!Thanks for the continued (as ever) patience o7
I had the same idea. Hunker down on the only moon not to be permit locked in my unarmed Phantom and then when I logged in I was in space with the lights off and pants down. Almost got away. Almost.I also needed a rebuy. I found myself not in the safe crater I was hiding in, but off planet, an unpleasant surprise. Enjoyed the story video![]()
I thought about bringing a cheap throwaway ship but that seemed like a weird way to engage with new content (though, it is elite lol) so I stuck with my nice thingz. i actually don't know how I escaped, i just closed my eyes, thought loving, pluralistic space peace thoughts and pressed 'engage' hoping the Thargoids felt the vibe.Same, although im not sure you'd call my sidey and explo ship although i didn't make it to a friendly carrier, planet landed and got 'found' by a tharg....
Rabbit go boom!
Yeah I think all of us are thinking "now what?"I had the same idea. Hunker down on the only moon not to be permit locked in my unarmed Phantom and then when I logged in I was in space with the lights off and pants down. Almost got away. Almost.
Bit of an anti-climax. Now what?
I was sure I read that H4.0 was part of this update. In a few weeks, when it is released, I'd guess.

Update 13, Narrative and Access to 4.0. - Elite Dangerous
Greetings Commanders, We’re happy to confirm Update 13 is coming on Tuesday 9 August and will see the highly anticipated conclusion of the Az...www.elitedangerous.com
Wow, I must have lucked out. My ship was totally normal, I just sniffed around the canisters, enjoyed the view then jumped to the Musashi. The only Guardian tech I had was the FSD Booster, need to check if that got mangled...I was on the Bright Sentinel as well, was stranded in space with all systems offline when I logged in.
Once they rebooted a thargoid appeared and blew me up![]()
welcome to the party commander, been waiting for 15 months now!Still not able to reach 60 FPS on Concourses, oof. Will try settlements too to see if performance improved there.
Were you some distance away? I was orbiting 10b and only had the FSD booster. They got miffed quite quickly.Wow, I must have lucked out. You should know the drill by now - restart Launcher, check file integrity, in a pinch reload the Launcher. Or wait until your ISP wakes up from hibernation.So... how long is it meant to sit like this for?

Have tried twice now, waiting 10 minutes a piece.
Nope definitely not the only one. It seems Horizons and Odyssey players are having very different experiences. HIP 22460 in Odyssey is overrun by thargoids whereas in Horizons there are absolutely none, not even in the surrounding systems.Am I the only horizons player that got the cutscenes and see the debris fields and broken megaships but... that's all? I see streamers getting glitchy thargoid induced UI flickers, thargoid attachs, scannable ship log beacons and that big glowing crater on planet 10b and all the horizons players in open right now are agreeing that we see none of that.
no that ain't the cutscene, it is REALLY a cutscene, to me it happened as soon as i opened soloplay(i wasn't even connected yet since i had an error and had to reconnect afterwards)Reading here, somehow I totally missed the initial cutscene? I thought it was what I describe below but, without spoilers, is there more that I need to seek out?I loaded into Odyssey in my cockpit in orbit, when I had been on the surface, had no audio for about 45 seconds as a Thargoid approached my ship, then flew away peacefully and the audio returned? It was like half-cutscene in that I was in my ship watching but unable to interact with anything, and no sound.
