Can't wait! Eager to hand out some free hot cocoa for our insectoid neighbors and humans alike! P.S. Do the Thargoids like marshmallows?
 
So nothing in U14 to fix the broken missions that have been broken for months (or even a year)? That's bad, I hoped we could finally play the game without having to worry about relogging, reinstancing and/or abandoning missions and suffer for it.


NPCs in combat zones freezing?

Missions are still broken (last target in raid is not found)

I fully anticipate a lot of Commanders sharing thoughts on issues that they don't see fixed or that aren't currently in the known issues list - this is a HUGE update in itself with the versioning, so some issues may not have hit the bank as quickly with fixes as many of you would have liked BUT as mentioned in the post, we're still working on known issues lists and getting information square in that sense. Thanks for the patience whilst we do this o7
 
Ok. Digested the release notes a number of times and honestly, have to say, WOW!

Great news on the Thargoid content. Hopefully promising and eventful.

I had really, really hoped for more points in Gameplay & Missions addressing known issues (no point re-iterating). Audio got way more attention than Gameplay & Missions.

From what I've read, >90% are cosmetic fixes, which is great and hopefully valid fixes this time around (saying goes, a 5th time is the charm). Just had hoped that broken gameplay areas would have been fixed given the months between U12 to U13 to U14.

I guess the key learning here is Frontier listens to its customers.....

As a newly transferred console Commander, I would have bought a small fortune in ARX for HUD and Cockpit colours, themes, customization and designs...The Orange Curse remains. Hope remains for update 15.
 
Just glancing through the notes I see that from a new content perspective, AX is about it. Whether its ship and ground or just ship combat is probably the vagueness that was bandied about.
 
Over the past couple of years, I have enjoyed the stray moment of biowaste bombing interceptors, and even attempting to fill one of their hive tunnels, with biowaste.
They seem to enjoy it so, as they howl in delight.
Now, with fleets getting nearer, the grin stretches from ear to ear, as a song enters the mind.

Right now the thing I'm most curious about is whether the patch will fix the current issues with auto-launch.

(Since my Cutter just rammed into the station wall again as I head out to park my carrier in an uninhabited system...)
If that's your main complaint then it's a good day for ED! I hate to sound like I'm saying 'git gud' but taking off manually is one of the easier things to do! Save yourself a slot!
 
"Added an optional keybind for the Shutdown Field Neutraliser module" and "Improved hangar lighting" made me do a little happy dance. Now if we could just get a binding for requesting docking permission....

Thank you Sally, I appreciate all the effort.
But some bugs and issues have been around for too long (or are reoccurring) and they are a nuisance for players. Having to constantly relog or reinstance to fix a mission is a bit time consuming and frankly not fun.

Seeing nothing about mission fixes neither in the Gameplay & Missions sections nor in the Known Issues made me ask that question.
So thank you for the answer and hopefully this will also get fixed soon.

There's no change to relogging on foot in an odyssey combat zone putting you in the station you last docked at even if it has no shipyard or is potentially very far away?
