Fiction Elite: Legacy

Still no news about when KS backers will get their ebooks? It's rather unfortunate that the original backers are the last to get their books :(
Indeed. Waiting for my copy as well.

Do those pledging at the boxed edition (+paperback) level also get the e-book version, by the way, or does the paperback replace the ebook?

I'm afraid I'll have to wait for ages if my pledge only included the paperback... :/

No - the e-book copies are separate to the paperbacks. However any reward level of £35 or above should include an e-book copy.

But it is not included yet, at least it's not downloadable from store.

1. They already have Kickstarter money so those "customers" are a lower priority than potential new customers.
2. Maybe some people will forget they're entitled to a free copy and buy it.
3. Both of the above!

Yes, I'm cynical. :p

Not yet, but it will be.

this good news are there any novels planned with backstroy about terraforming efforts and the building of new colonies, to tie in with the addition of the ability ingame now to build new stations (maybe upgrade existing ones and the moving station thats there as well) eve online has a lot of short stories, have the fd team thought of writing or hiring someone to write a series of shortstories about life in the universe and on the fringe etc.

Um, have you read Elite: Tales from the Frontier yet? It is an anthology of 15 short stories. Available in audio book format as well. Also check our the other official tie-in novels that are available if you haven't yet.

E-book copies to backers should be going out later today. The same for the downloadable soundtrack.

Joy!

Now will I be able to finish the 'Cities in Space' books by James Blish that I'm 3/4 of the way through? I noticed a reference to them on the 'Things I Won't Work With' chemistry blog, had a quick punt, and noticed a lot of similarities between the 'frame-of-reference-shifted' Spindizzy-powered flight of entire cities across the galaxy, and our good old FSD .
