Looks like a hit and run thread. OP hasn't replied once.
Starting think these types of threads are more about hating to make the game look bad than out of any real desire for discourse.
OP was on holiday. Can safely say that going to Prague with the Mrs during summer is dangerous! (-; anyhow... Main purpose of thread was to discuss the lack of environmental reaction from the ED galaxy.
I'm not saying accretion discs should instantly kill you, but there should be gameplay behind them, or any other hazard. They should be relativity safe, as long as you don't do stupid things like acrobatics above a 9g world for example.
We should be able to learn how to handle hazards as we explore. And there should be rewards for handling them. Eg: lost alien ships stuck in an accretion disc.
It would be lovely to finally feel as if the ED galaxy was a natural, living thing that we could explore with respect for its forces. Nature itself should provide the backbone of the gameplay rather than silly "go fetch this" RNG missions.
