Elite Sissyverse.

Taking a Vulture into long-venture, high-wear situations is not really what it was meant for. You ought be close to some stations for most of the utility of that ship. Therefore, it should result in being more difficult, even in a tedious way, to push that ship to limits for which it wasn't designed.

IMO

So you disapprove of people choosing to fly Sidewinders to Beagle Point?

Sadly, it's people like you who are doing the most to hold the game back. You complain about "boring repetition", but then shoot down any ideas aimed at making it a little bit more involved. Oh well, time to find my ignore button.

I've never been on someone's block list before!
Still, it's good to know that DBOBE is paying so much attention to my posts that I can impact the game design.

Well... is there anything in this game that can worry me?. As an explorer...

Ive heard so much crap about improving the core gameplay in 2.4...

...Thoughts please.

FDEV aren't improving the core gameplay in 2.4, they have this in mind for season 3, in whatever form this is delivered.

I'm a bit confused that you find exploration doesn't threaten or challenge you, as exploration is not that type of gameplay in ED. So, I suggest you head to the nearest CZ or HAZ RES instead. Or take on a myriad of high risk missions. Or go bounty hunting, or play a GC in open, or, well, do anything other than exploration.

I saw this thread and my mind was filled with images of ships decorated with silken bows and lace frills in all manner of differing shades of pink, and my heart exploded with rainbows and unicorns of delight at the idea. I need my hot pink frilly fer de lance! Please FDev, make this so! :-D

Looks like a hit and run thread. OP hasn't replied once.
Starting think these types of threads are more about hating to make the game look bad than out of any real desire for discourse.

OP was on holiday. Can safely say that going to Prague with the Mrs during summer is dangerous! (-; anyhow... Main purpose of thread was to discuss the lack of environmental reaction from the ED galaxy.

I'm not saying accretion discs should instantly kill you, but there should be gameplay behind them, or any other hazard. They should be relativity safe, as long as you don't do stupid things like acrobatics above a 9g world for example.

We should be able to learn how to handle hazards as we explore. And there should be rewards for handling them. Eg: lost alien ships stuck in an accretion disc.

It would be lovely to finally feel as if the ED galaxy was a natural, living thing that we could explore with respect for its forces. Nature itself should provide the backbone of the gameplay rather than silly "go fetch this" RNG missions.

This post is much clearer; and I can agree that there needs be environment phenomena that can damage you, render your ship inoperable, or at worse, kill you.

Nope. As an explorer all that can surprise me is arriving in the middle of a star. Which I am quickly shunted out of.

I can sit 1km from a black hole and untan myself.

What happened to the idea of a reactive galaxy? Is anyone working on this? You know - the core premise of the game? Ive heard so much crap about improving the core gameplay in 2.4...

But until the actual "Galaxy" in which you live matters...

Pass! Thoughts please.
