In Empyrion you have to tweak the controls ingame. Ship handling for me is better in SE, however we choose to disagree on a friendly basis darkfyre & myself.I started watching videos on E:GS and its interesting to say the least. It looks similar to NMS in some ways (UI, ppl, colors, etc.) buy very different in others.
Is flying ships in E:GS better than NMS ? (the nms flight model is not as good as other space sims for me)
(I play KB/M) I was able to set up my flight controls for ED and X4 almost identical so switching between those two was easy; can controls in E:GS be set up similar ?
Can you build a ship that has crew quarters and services that would allow RP play as an explorer or miner and feel like you could live on it ?
I've only watched ~2 hours of vids showing survival and creative mode play so I'm still a newb to this game. Thanks
Thank you, I was.Have a nice day Space Menace
There is a physics model in EGS in that you need to adjust your thrusters for pitch, roll, yaw and lift.Thank you so much for your response. I've been weaving all over the road trying to find my way to a new space game and EGS has made it to the top 2 or 3.
I am going to watch a few more videos and try and made my feeble mind up soon. Have a nice day Space Menace
The things you'll find in Empyrion.
Calling my ship 'janky'.... bloody cheek..Ship stuff kinda looks janky, but the planets look really good. Are they random? Or do they have like fixed seed (1 red planet guaranteed at worldgen, an ice planet, grey moon, lava planet - stuff like that)
The ship looks good. From design perspective. I mean the game gfx make them look janky.Calling my ship 'janky'.... bloody cheek..
Not sure how they do the planets, but they're good. Obviously you see the same types come around occasionally, but on the whole there is a very good variety.
A thing I like about them a lot is that they do the weather and temps great, very realistic. From high altitude to ground level the temps seem to read correctly with the type of conditions that apply.
