I have had it once, before the update. I couldn't get a sample of some stratum, and I think it started after I sampled stratum twice then moved on to another bio, then I realised the stratum were coming up that mauve colour for unscanned bios. and tried rescanning it and it crashed every time I tried the stratum, but it has worked fine with every other bio I have tried. I assume you tried scanning different bios from the one causing the original issue, in my case I just left that Stratum for some other CMDR who may one day in a thousand years of so stumble across that particular planet.
Hasn't happened since, but at the time it happened on that particular bio every time I tried, so I am wondering if it's an issue with partial sampling then abandoning the scan, I will test it the next chance I get.
