Is there any way to get the overlay onto my second screen, the one I play elite on?
Yep. I put that information in my release notes
But I'll repeat it here;
1) Put CL into Overlay mode
2) Click and drag on the "current database name" label which is located on the bottom left of the CL window. The window will then move and you can set your desired position on your second monitor.
The overlay window position will be saved for the next time you start Captain's Log.

p.s. Remember there is a hotkey for calling up CL which is quite handy... ALT-C
You can use this hotkey if you are using VoiceAttack to create a voice command to bring up CL

Easy - just click on the Y class star icon for the Y's. T Tauri's are Protostars so click on the PR star icon to count those, and so on...
You won't be able to enter them as planets - I've taken the decision to call them stars - they're on that borderline between star and planet. I do not plan on changing this

This is a bugfix release.
- FIXED : netlog import now works and can import from both pre-2.1/1.6 and 2.1/1.6-onwards netlog formats.
- IMPROVEMENT : There should be a small but noticeable speedup of the "stars" and "statistics" stages of database load.

I just updated to this version and when I got to a new system I first clicked on the Metal-rich world icon to add it. It now shows only the metal rich world and I can enter a name for it as usual. I entered the designation "1" and clicked on OK to save it. Now the textbox to enter the next metal-rich world has disappeared along with the OK and X-buttons. So I can not get back to select a new planet or continue without closing and opening the program again.

I'm playing on an oculus rift cv1, and wondered if anyone has tried the Captains log overlay mode with one? Does it play nice on a hmd?

Hi Metkis,
It won't display, unfortunately. CL's overlay sort of cheats a bit and doesn't hook into Direct X. If I can find a way of doing this in the future then I'll certainly attempt it.

Please re-download Captain's Log 1.4.1, it has been fixed.
If you are one of the 23 unfortunate souls to have downloaded 1.4.1, please re-download and reinstall over the bugged version of 1.4.1 - I have found the problem and fixed it.
One lousy uncommented line of code...
So rather than make it 1.4.2 I just repackaged it.

I was using this amazing app before horizons. Now i would like to go exploring again but it didn't recorded my jumps. I figured out that i need to change logs directory, but i can't do it! Every time i try it i have only option to cancel it, there is no save button, Please help me

Not sure if this was mentioned before or not, but, when you change the colours (I was changing them back to the original scheme
, the main screen reloads but the stars and the statistics do not. (just a le, doesn't break my immersion)Another awesome edition of the essential captains log!

I see you have that sorted now. Yeah, the configuration window is sort of misleading in that I merely just display the last settings and you have to enter both locations - I should alter its behaviour as it's confusing.
