Failure Developments at it again

Thanks to this post I could finally identify all my legacy modules that take up storage space and sell them. Because even bugs are inconsistent. Legacy engineered modules still show the engineering icon bwahahaha what a joke of a QA update.

Is it so? Oh, that would indeed be a feature I requested since long. Still have lots of legacy engineered modules in my store and its always been a PITA to tell them apart (y)

O7,

This update was a total failure. You broke almost everything. You broke outfitting (can't see the engineering on stored modules). You broke engineering. You broke mining. You tried to break instancing. You broke the codex. You broke VPNs. Fighters are still broken. Buying arx is broken. The arx prices were broken (not that I'm complaining on that one). You broke the wing UI.

And theres probably more you broke that we haven't discovered yet. Its mind boggling. How in the everloving did this get past QA. Do you even test things at all? Maybe you do and you just don't give a enough to fix it. Doesn't matter what the reason is though, you up. Big time.

And this isn't the first time. April was really bad too. Beyond saw the removal of multiple types of missions because you were so bad at balancing them. If it was a one time I could dismiss it as just a mistake or accident, but its almost every update now. This many total failures of an update is inexcusable and shameful.

Shame on you fdev.

the existing bugs were lonely so they added a whole load more, we can always put them on the issue tracker and vote which one are important though.

I dont think Frontier or anyone else finds it acceptable but its the nature of the beast when dealing with mmo game with a million moving parts.

Yet other MMO (not that Elite can be classed as an MMO) developers manage to release patches on a regular basis without blowing up their games. This is not a problem specific to MMOs, it's a problem specific to FDev.

These things will get sorted. There's a team of dedicated developers working their backsides off so we can spend a few hours escaping from reality for our own entertainment and a team of dedicated community managers having to deal with the criticisms.

You mean there are teams of people doing a job to get paid ? These people are not your friends and they're not sat there working away whilst dreaming of what happiness they might bring to you. They're doing a job because they want to get paid.

I was surprised how many I had left of them, there were 4 legacy modules I didn't now were legacy. This bug has its positives but after all, such an easy to spot bug is really just yet another morning laugh becuase at this point it was expected. At this point I am not even interested in the new content as it's dull anyways but more in the bugs they introduced and the bugs they haven't fixed this patch.

Most of them are working on Project Watson which will be release next year.

Not sure the shoe analogy works, but trying to make it fit in detail could make for a very humourous diversion to the OP's topic :D

Can someone please wake me up when Clarks start selling skins for my shoe laces that I can purchase with points earned whilst walking? Cheers!
Im pretty sure you can just by shoel aces for your shoes. Even super expensive ones who's only noticable difference is they are a different color.

You dont get free points by walking though yet, sorry.

"make it fit" ;)
No stop think of the supposed kids!

I know so many games and updates released with bugs, MMO or not, they are too many to list. That's no excuse for FDEV but you don't have a point either.

Testing
You got absolutely no idea what they done behind the scenes to get ready for future updates.

Getting ready for future updates 101 = getting rid of all existing bugs first.

Not creating a metric crapload of new ones while leaving ages old ones untouched.
