Fast Charge FSD Engi 100% Broken (bug)

Yeah anyone else notice how all this upgrade does is increase your heat, and boost the optimal mass a little bit?

There is absolutely no change to the speed of the charge lol

It's not for shortening the "Frame Shift Drive Charging" sequence, it's for shortening the cool down time after it's been deactivated. Like after an emergency stop or interdiction.

No it isnt, just the boot sequence. IE turning it off an on again. Nothing else is affected.

The heat increase is something like 80%? You get a little optimized mass but all in all I don't think this upgrade is currently being implemented right.

Wouldn't it make much more sense and actually be a viable alternative to the alternative engineering upgrades if it affected FSD charge time? If it doesn't affect charge time, what exactly is it that is causing some ships I've seen to be able to jump out in damn near no time at all after being interdicted?

Useless upgrade, except for maybe .01% of situations.

Got it.

No it has a very specific purpose.

Just because you came to the forum, made a loud claim that turns out to be false and embarassing, you then resort to ridiculing the situation to try and cover your own ignorance. Classic!

So it looks like we have two morons who posted onto the thread after some very informative and legitimate posters have brought a bit of clarity to the issue at hand.

I'll reiterate my previous question since holding a conversation is difficult for you.

If this doesn't increase FSD charge speed what is it that is affecting charge rates/cooldown times on certain ships which are able to jump out quickly after being interdicted?

Hopefully prior posters know something

My bad, singular moron.

And no it essentially affects 8 seconds until FSD initiation on a power starved build which needs to have FSD disabled for a combat situation...

At a cost of 80% heat increase and frankly from what I tested on my Keelback a longer FSD charge time by a second or 2 but maybe that was some other factor.

My searches showed it does what I said it did. Don't know what else to say. If it's only the boot sequence from shutting it down it's beyond useless. But like I said my search didn't turn that up.

If you get hit with a grom bomb, having this type of FSD will pretty much render it ineffective.. Not so useless then.
