fastest 5 billion challenge

Someone on Steam said from a fresh account, they could make 5 billion in 3 days, and I thought, this sounds like speedrun challenge

can anyone capture on stream/video, earning 5 billion in under 3 days play time with a character?

if so, I would love to see it

starting from a fresh account, earn 5 billion, no in-game help from others, just solo

if this competition already exists, then please point me toward it so I can watch it

Is that with or without help from friends? It's dead easy if you have a few helpful friends to share wing missions with you. The sky's the limit for that. It would just depend on how many friends you had. I can get 300 mil to share per trip doing massacre missions, and I can do three or four trips in a day. So three enthusiastic friends is all you need and about 6 to 8 hrs of play time for you while the friends do all the work. I think wing delivery missions might work too.

On your own, it's more tricky. I can earn 5 billion in three days, but not from a new start.

I did a new start to test if massacre missions was viable. I had 400 mil after 10 hrs and 200 mil from my last three hr trip. The money was still increasing with my rep. If you put in some very long days, it would be possible. I reckon you should be able to average 100 mil per hr. Unfortunately, your lack of combat rank prevents you from getting the highest paying masacre missions, otherwise it would be pretty straight forward. That leaves mining. I thought they nerfed the egg mining, but if they didn't, that would work. Platinum is out because you need a Cutter, which takes 2 days before you start. Robigo would get you 100 mil per hr after something like 5 hrs, so if you played 18 hrs a day, 5 billion would be possible.

If the challenge of 3 days is 3 x 24 hours playtime rather than 3 calendar days then yes I'd say it can be done. I sketched it out briefly and a simplistic sidewinder (bounties) -> t6 (trade) -> t7 (trade) -> t9 (trade) game loop could net you 5bn in 72hrs of playtime. The key here is getting to the T9 fast and then just max trading. You could easily get to the t9 in 6 hours with the right loop and a bit of luck.
What I think might be a hinderence with the T9 though might be the unengineered FSD (the t6 and t7 are sufficient with 19ly and 16ly laden ranges) . A-rated the t9 can only manage 12ly laden which might really start to cut in on the trade loop time. I'm not sure how long it would take to gather the mats to engineer the FSD but it might be worth it. The meta-alloy to unlock Farseer can be bought from a carrier in Deciat rather than heading all the way to Maia and if you pop a DSS on either the t6 or t7 then the explorer rank of Scout to unlock her is simplistic as there's likely an earth-like near one of the stations you trade from that in itself will give you enough credits for mapping. A couple of side missions while trading could net you the materials and even an increase to only G3 giving you 16ly laden may be enough to make a significant difference.

I think you won't get anywhere near what you expect doing that. You should try it out. I've made many fastest start videos, and I'm always testing different ways to earn credits fast from a beginning. Nany of the good ideas I have just don't hack it when I try them out. Try it and see how long it takes you to get a billion. challenges like that are always good fun.

Good point.

I can make a fresh account and get 10 billions in less than a quarter of a day... by using a carrier to transfer cash from one of my richer accounts 😂


Edit:
with the help of 3 combat oriented pilots - picking up and sharing Space CZ missions - the newb 4th player can easily get 150-200 millions per hour without firing a single shot.
Just by winging up and getting bonds from his wing (and trying to stay alive) then cashing the shared missions and whatever bonds might come around

Well yes, cash is simple with either transfers or wing missions that you jump in on before they're cashed out. You'd barely have to flinch to get the 5bn.

it takes certain ships to get there too...
my last account went from zero to 2bil in cash and 1 t-6, 1 python, 1 t-9, 1 carrier, 4 condas, 1 cutter, a few dbx's, a few kraits in 3 weeks.
and all the engineering I needed, to do what needed doing on those ships.

That's well over 5 bil.

who is going to video it...? still shots won't mean a thing.
just know it is very easy to do.
making the credits in 1-2 days is easy enough but if you don't upgrade and get bigger ships, its just harder work that takes longer.
As soon as you start using a t-9, then you have to be blind to not be able to make 1billion a day with very little effort, or tbh a few bil a day if you push yourself.
This is missions, not trade, not mining.
both trade and mining can do this too, I just don't do those things if I don't have to.
Missions, for me are for my BGS, and they pay well for very little effort.

It isn't a great comparison though.
For these missions, you need rep, you need to know of enough systems that can accommodate this. utube doesn't really help with that. experience does.
Luck helps too, I had not been in a starter system for very many years. I was very lucky in that I found many mining missions within 15 minutes of starting...
a couple hours later, me and my t-9 are on route to my BGS bubble....where I know all the systems in the area(the key to speed and wealth).

You should still try it, then let us know what's achievable. You don't need to do the 5 billiom challenge - just report how much you have after say 5 hrs, 10 hrs and 20 hrs so that we can see how it compares. Lrt us know about the obstacles.

Once you get a properly equipped passenger python, you can bang out around 125,000,000 per hour. So, if you grind 14 hours per day, I guess a three day run to 5 billion is possible.

How do you get that much? Robigo can get yout that on a good day, but it's not consistent.

One Robby run in a purpose built Python can get about 20mil average (normally there's at least two 5mil jobs) so it depends on how fast you can do it.
You aint scooping and if the cabin crew don't take breaks its possible i suppose.
