FDev need to do something about Lave

First of all we are sorry that there are third parties not involved in the Lave conflict suffering negative consequences because of it.

But the Alliance has been invaded by a coalition of pirates and murderers. As the Alliance is a mutual defense pact, a "Case of Alliance defense" is now happening . The aggressors operate out of Lave and attack a multitude of Alliance systems.

Once Lave is belonging to the Alliance again, this will stop. It started when unknown forces started murdering Alliance ship to force an "election" at gun point. Since then these acts of terror have spread through the whole Alliance westside. Facilitated by a bunch of unknown groups unwilling to even state that they take part.

This continues while the defenders of Alliance space are constantly being harassed, insulted and attacked on an hourly basis.

If its a small group, get a bigger group and go facepaste thier skulls accross the cosmos, odds are its not gonna be that hard if they are relying on the lave radio winder lol.

Anyway, truly spoken like the oppressive, imperialistic superpower the AEDC wants the Alliance to be. Calling freedom fighters murderers and pirates, not going to get you much support form outsiders.

OK, no RP:

I think it's really good what AEDC does - cool RP and interesting stories open for everybody to interact or just watch the drama unfold. They do what a lot more player groups should do, base their RP and actions in the lore (with their own twist and interpretation, but every faction in a society has their own views on how that society should be).

If people just want access to Vatermann, with no political caveats, why not just let Lave fall under Alliance control, or even actively assist in that goal?
Once it happens, presumably the lockdowns will end and you'll be able to get your brandy.

Course, if people aren't willing to let that happen, I guess any ongoing conflict will continue - but that's the price you pay for unrest.

Well, lockdown can't be permanent, all states have their cooldowns. Just run in when lockdown ends and get what you need. You've presumably got a few days before another lockdown can go active.

Ok, after reading through all of this thread - the lockdown in Lave doesn't stop peopled from visiting Didi or him/her (not really sure about that, the surname and the pic could belong to either gender) plying his/her trade, but only prevents the ssale of Lavian Brandy, which people who don't have access yet need to unlock Didi?

Then I have to call on OP's claim that the action of a minority is locking out the majority of players from Didi's services. I'd rather guess that the number of people involved in this conflict exceeds the number of people who want to unlock Didi right now.

And for a constructive contribution: instead of whining about being denied access, just take a side in that conflict and shift the BGS the way you want it. Or put aside grinding for those G5 shield boosters and do something else.

On a personal note, I kinda like the idea of keeping the system in perma-lockdown. If for no other reason than it limits the "supa-shield" builds from multiplying like a plague.
