Maybe I am missing something, but why keep it in lockdown rather than flip it to Alliance?

my guess is they have too strong opposition and lockdown is the easier option bc of that 1 murder == 1 transaction thing?

Lockdown is a consequence of the efforts done to flip back Lave, not the main goal.

considering that the current BGS cycle includes 4 states and that lockdown has both a maximum length and a cooldown the time in which LD is active is relatively low, it's approximately 1/5 of the whole cycle.

First of all we are sorry that there are third parties not involved in the Lave conflict suffering negative consequences because of it.

But the Alliance has been invaded by a coalition of pirates and murderers. As the Alliance is a mutual defense pact, a "Case of Alliance defense" is now happening . The aggressors operate out of Lave and attack a multitude of Alliance systems.

Once Lave is belonging to the Alliance again, this will stop. It started when unknown forces started murdering Alliance ship to force an "election" at gun point. Since then these acts of terror have spread through the whole Alliance westside. Facilitated by a bunch of unknown groups unwilling to even state that they take part.

This continues while the defenders of Alliance space are constantly being harassed, insulted and attacked on an hourly basis.

And you think locking people out of one of the most important engineer unlocks will help you guys get "insulted" less?

Okay then... I do not think you understand human nature though.

Ironically, I love the Alliance. But this campaign to turn Lave is a bit of a wee-take... I'd like to use Lave Station as a home base!

I hope AEDC is doing their campaign in Open... Stuff like this is a very good case for BGS to be Open-only, and in fact, has turned me in favour of as such.

Lockdown is just a side effect, not an intended outcome.

Make rares an occasional spawn in wreckage POIs in the local region, problem solved.

G5 Shield Boosters - that's what Didi does. No one else.

Not having G5 Boosters for a while is not game breaking at all. So why should FDEV do something about it? I know that its the only G5, but you can easily play everything with a G3 for the time you can't unlock Didi Watermann.

Clearly, this is an opinion. If you need trust in forums to handle somebody else opinion you should really stay away from forums at all.
