And what does complaining about the grind, a forum staple, have to do with being "carebears"?
Literally nothing. I've never seen a PvPer in my life who did not hate having to grind with a passion.
And what does complaining about the grind, a forum staple, have to do with being "carebears"?
There are a few things that are part of this game's "culture" for some, that doesn't make them right or acceptable. You only used the term in a derogatory manner which, as you well know, is not something that's acceptable on the official forums."carebear playerbase" is part of elite dangerous culture.
of course is, PvP meta build is acquiried trough PvE they are the ones that play only for minmax stuff and i am referred to they. hope it sound better.I’ve seen more complaints about the grind to get the PP modules from those citing the need for them in PvP rather than PvE.![]()
But I often see, across games, PvPers complain about having to actually play the game loops the devs have made.
Fighting other players is more rewarding than NPCs - and I also enjoy the risk from being in Open - but sometimes you do actually need to play the game too!
its ok, im sorry, doesnt mind that was an insult, for me it is just a term to describe a type of gameplay attitude. There are a few things that are part of this game's "culture" for some, that doesn't make them right or acceptable. You only used the term in a derogatory manner which, as you well know, is not something that's acceptable on the official forums.
Moreover, there was absolutely zero reason to mention it as it wasn't even relevant to the conversation. So, stop with insulting how others choose to play the game.
of course is, PvP meta build is acquiried trough PvE they are the ones that play only for minmax stuff and i am referred to they.
in fact i think every side of pve and pvp had his one carebear. in that case, the one who are most complaining about PP rares stop are there pvp one. Then it must have been a language barrier problem. You chose the wrong word, because 'carebear' does not mean 'pvper'. It's pretty much the opposite.
in fact i think every side of pve and pvp had his one carebear. in that case, the one who are most complaining about PP rares stop are there pvp one.
yeah im not here for some grammar course, whoever want to uderstand my statement, it will
I dont use X or Facebook. i have my reasons not relevant to here.i follow and love the game, when they announce that fact, 16 minutes later i see the notification on my smartphone about a new post from elite dangerous on facebook that explain the situation, im pretty sure they do the same on X.
i simply "follow" on social media and i use notification
I use X and Facebook, etc etc but how many times have I checked these sites and even the forums before I do something in-game. I'm not asking for much. FDev shoots off messages all the time when they want to bring down servers etc. An in-game announcement is all I was asking for. Just have a little common courtesy FDEV and show a little love for your player base.I dont use X or Facebook. i have my reasons not relevant to here.
I DO follow the official forums and there is an in game announcement feature.....
Specifically in this instance i could not comment on how it was broadcast but FD do have recent form of posting in other places rather than or at least before in game or on the official forums.
its a valid complaint imo.
as for your nonsense about carebears and what not.... yeah what ever!.
Agreed, I think it should all be in game and I don’t have twitter either. Mind you, I got bored with rares so quickly it wasn’t going to affect me.FDEV please have the courtesy to contact the player base by other means besides twitter in regards to suspension or nerfing of gameplay. Yesterday, you folks decided
to suspend merits on rare goods while I was in-game and collecting, grinding so I can unlock modules and I did not receive a message that you were taking this measure.
The only way I found out that merits for rares were suspended was due to my search to see if this was a bug.
A friendly in-game mail telling the players that this was going to occur and the time it was going to happen would of been the courteous thing to do. I traded 2160 tons of rares which would've given me 78588 merits and some more ranks for my favorite modules. Sure, I gained some credits(profits) but since I have over 54 billion and don't need credits the time and effort I put in yesterday was futile.
I am a C.E.O. of a software company, and I love to play Elite it's my only vice. One thing I learned in running a company and trying to grow is not to turn off the current clients I have so that they negatively rate my products or services which will have a negative impact on my growth. NERFING is not content. Suspending gameplay and changing your minds every other day, on aspects of this new powerplay system is turning off the players. Make up your minds, make the change and stick with it. And recompense those who have been hurt by this new suspension.
Some people have a few issues with a certain social media platform as well. And what does complaining about the grind, a forum staple, have to do with being “carebears”?
