Feedback and questions I had during Odyssey gameplay

Hello everyone,
I really hope that someone from Frontier will actually read this.
I´ve spent many hours in Odyssey already, so I consider my feedback valuable. I also have multiple questions that could be considered feedback as well (since its not clear to me). Note that I like Odyssey even if its bugged quiet a lot. So here it is:

  1. General feedback
    • Most of landable planets looks basicaly the same. It is really hard to find some that are actually a bit different. Mainly those with atmosphere (landable). I´ve landed on more then 100 of these since Odyssey launch hoping I´d have different experience every time, but that not really the case. It rarely makes an impression. However there are some of those that are really beatiful.
    • So many landable planets with atmosphere has basicaly the same atmosphere composition (usually 100% of something). Most of these also has very similar material compostion. This probably relates to previous point why they are the same. I really dont think its accurate.
    • I expected much greater biodiversity on planets with atmosphere. I´m aware that if I count every species and color, its quiet nice number, but do you really think that whole galaxy could contain only 14 species? I was hoping in some randomly generated biological objects that varies depending on gravity, atmosphere type, temperature and other system-specific type. I got quiet a bit boring stuff instead.
    • Every possible biological type is also listed in Codex in advance. Great. So I now know what I could find which makes hunting for unknown spieces basicaly nonsense. If Codex would contain only stuff that players have already found with a possible hope in unknown, it´d be much, much better. This is something that can be changed in future, so please consider it!
    • I really dont understand (and I think I even hate it) the need of discarding parital genetics sample! That doesnt make any sense. You could allow player to have for example 3 containers for samples and let him switch between them as needed. Sampling like this is not fun, it takes much more time and it gets boring after a while.
    • I´ve also noticed that "signals" appearing on planet surface after DSS scan are usually on the planet side that is not close to sun. It happens for like 85% of signals.
    • Signals on planet surface are generated again on different places and in different counts when I log out and log back in (possibly with some time between). This doesnt make sense mainly outside of populated systems. How could be there 3 more active power sources with habitats suddenly for example? I would understand crash sites or Distress calls, but Habitats?
    • There is so many surface signals in systems outside populated systems ("bubble"). Finding 4 Distress calls, 3 Active power sources / Artifical structure and some other stuff on every single planet is nonsense. These should be more rare futher in galaxy I am.
    • Every Active power sources / Artifical structure looks the same. All are human based, all has exactly same number of buildings, turrets, guards... When you found one, you found them all.
    • I´d change a way of transfering cargo between SRV and ship. It could be simplified
    • Every space station looks exactly the same. This includes NPCs positions and quest givers. It doesnt feel alive at all
    • Exploration in current state is not rewarding at all. You get nothing extra, credits are not worth it and cannot balance other activities you can do. Since this expansion feels like its purpose was mainly exploration I´m woried it has failed.
  2. Questions about mechanics I dont understand:
    • Why does destroyed turrets at Active power sources / Artifical structure respawn after few minutes when there is noone to fix them? Its really amazing to land with ship nearby these turrets after they are destroyed, deploy SRV to drive arround a bit, just to find ship beeing attacked by turrets after a while with no way of getting back in time...
    • Why is there a need of having helmet on planet with 88% Oxygen, 8% CO2 and some Nitrogen at 48°C and 0,6G? No danger indicated by the suit so this is basically Earth-like body! Prove me wrong but I really think the pilot could take the helmet off. And I also think that finding a body like this could be rewarded by much greater value.
    • Why does the suit needs to scan the environment every single time I get outside the SRV on same planet?
    • Why its not possible to detect biological stuff on SRV radar or to make a bio scan from ship when near planet surface? That makes finding "Bacteria" stuff quiet a hell
    • Why do I need to select weapon / equipement every time I get outside SRV? It surely could be remembered and equipped automaticaly
I think thats quiet enaugh :) I´m aware this could sound like a "hate" on Odyssey, but please dont get me wrong. I really like the game and I like to get it much better and much more fun which is why I wrote this.
