First exploration

One last word regarding the missions: watch out for Navy missions... They are good for building up the rank, but they can cost you a lot of money... I fell for this trap in my beginning - Navy requested delivery of some goods for reward. I delivered the goods, got the reward, but they did not pay for the goods, meaning I lost 5 millions of credits... :)

Good evening Cmdrs o7

I've been farming for crystals at Davs hope, got 12 crystals and a load of other stuff and traded that for the rest of the crystals. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay me.

I now need to find a broker ? Is that correct ?

Hurrah!!

Well done that CMDR.

Yes, if you're still in the same area, this should still be ok:

Once you have all the ingredients, make your way over to LP 685-43, dock at Lie Ring. Do the same thing, Starport Services/Contacts but this time look for the Technology Broker. Here you hand in your ingredients. Now, in most stations in the game (including the one you are in) you go to outfitting, and in Optional Slots, you will find a section in the store, FSD Boosters. That is what you have unlocked, buy one, fit it.

AMFU: check
Big Fuel scoop: check
D rated everything except FSD and PP: check
PVH and SRV: check
Shields: check
DSS: Check

Everything else is optional... :)

EDIT: Thanks Comander Zieman... :)

Assuming exploration (you can fit it for fighting in Colonia if you want to do some pewpew there, for example), here's a base build without engineering you can expand with optionals (like docking computer / supercruise assist / cargo space, limpet controller etc.), if you like:

Sorry, forgot the FSD booster, build & link amended!

I agree with the bigger fuel scoop. You are most unlikely to need cargo bays exploring, I hate to tell you this, there is almost nothing out there to carry home. I’d stick a 4A Fuel scoop in one of those slots.

The difference will be incredible.

This build should get you to Beagle without much jumponium use, and if you do some engineering, it will get longer legs and more survivability.
Depends on which engineers you have unlocked and at which level you're willing to go time-&materialwise.

Do I not need cargo racks ?
No, unless you want to trick the route plotter to think you ship is heavier than it is (for a bit shorter jumps without resorting to economical plotting), or if you want to use some limpets (for which you need a controller too).

I can't get rid of my last cargo rack, it won't let me sell it, which means my total power is way in the red 😔
