Maybe because it is Indian Country... Thargoids, guardians and Oh My!
It's the fact that Colonia is on the left. Most of the other bases are along the path between the bubble and Colonia. There are asteroid bases in a variety of nebulae around the bubble's region, but they also just happen to extend a little further away on the left side than on the right.
This has an interesting side effect in that the east / right side of the map is a little less explored, since people tend to gravitate toward the bases and Colonia.

Seriously now, Colonia and the other 123 bases located around it all started from spacers so there must be a protocol in place to establish oneself as an operational base of operations. I imagine tht if you have a fleet carrier... you are off to a good start for a permanent base of operations.

I like the idea of The Rooster Station
If you mean an Outpost near Sag A*. There is and it's only a few jumps away from it I think reading this.
Explorer's Anchorage is an Ocellus Starport located in the Stuemeae FG-Y d7561 system, near Sagittarius A*. It was constructed by the Distant Worlds II expedition and began operation on February 21, 3305. It is the most distant station from Sol, as well as the closest station to both Sagittarius A* and Beagle Point.
Colonia is not like what I thought when I went their. I thought there was only one station in that system,. But Colonia is like a mini bubble with lots of surrounding systems also having stations.

Horizons - Building your own space port?
Oh if only... Elite: Dangerous has a scope that is unparalleled. Giving an individual player the ability to fund the construction of a station seems to fly in the face of the scale of the game as we have it. But to give a player own faction the ability to work toward something like that feels...

Scanned some nice systems including a system where one Water World was orbiting another Water World. Strange.

Fantastic...are you doing all night binges to make those large number of jumps? Currently very far behind you at 1/2 way point in Norma expanse on my way to Sag A*.

Scanned a lot of systems but nothing really noteworthy.
I did come across these 2 stars which are incredibly close to each other
