First exploration

I never been there, but dont think so.

I remember a chick who was gungho to get to Sag A and points beyond. A Jump range of 35 + ly is more than adequate for the job. You are at a point where all this advise about engineering and FSD range is a moot point... simply because there is no way you can get that where you are. Engineering is a good way to get extra range, power, speed and other niceties but it is also a bit of a grind. You have done exemplary work with what you have. Your supporters here have sidelined your thread to one of exploration and wonder to one of improbably if and what ifs. Keep up with your exploring... send us updated and photos and share with us your growth as an explorer and as a pilot. Roosters and Eagles both share the wonder of high flight... go get 'em.

He asked what was the difference between the two builds. and I told him. He's gone way further than I ever thought of going and my hats off to him.
Time and commitment to his journey is also a grind, would you agree?

Your help with explaining is helpful, no doubt and he will learn from your advise. time and commitment to something that you are passionate about is not a grind in my book. It is a journey of wonder and fulfillment. getting cigars and land mines for some hot shot engineer is a grind. For you.... that might be a bit of a grind as you have doubts about your wanting to go the distance. I have been to Sag A 5 times and am outbound for a 6th visit.. this time going through cat paws nebula in search of pods. Is it a girind? Not at all as I am looking to fulfill something that has been reports but not confirmed for that area. My ship is Riki Tiki..... after a Kipling mongoose who had insatiable curiosity. I wish you the best of travels.

collared pod.

a list if things to look for while cruising the galaxy...in addition to your exploration of beagle.

maybe I should have typed "grind" with the quotation marks since everybody plays different roles in this game. I'm out by the Norma Expanse exploring and enjoying it. But I also played the trader and bounty hunter( although not great at it), and some BGS. Enjoyed all aspects of it.

I only found ED a grind right at the start when I needed to get money to increase my opportunities in the game.
When I had my p.c stolen I couldn't get back to ED until I was given an Xbox one, FD transferred my credits, 134mil, to my Xbox account and I decided to go to Sag A*
This adventure has been amazing in so many ways not least the help I have had from this thread.
I am loving it out here and also learning a lot as I go. I will get to Beagle Point and I'll get back home, at that point I'll get bored silly and try some other path within the ED galaxy.
I wouldn't have become a Rooster without the support of the Cmdrs in this thread
Onward I go

Good Evening Cmdrs

Not a very big jump at all but I lost 1500ly after the weekend and I'm tracking across the map a little to follow the galactic arm
Just happy to be back on my travels

I've not long since come back from doing the trip to Colonia and back... and doing it the hard way using normal jumps all the time in a 35ly jump range ship. Been thinking past few days about the Sag A*, so last night set off in my Fed Corvette with a smaller 28ly jump range - doing it via all normal jumps again (no neutron stars), Never used them yet! Got 200 jumps out away from the bubble last night, and then turned back again. Lol, my heart wasn't intro doing it, not after just doing the Colonia trip a dew weeks back. I really should have headed to SAG A* while in Colonia at the time, but it didn't cross my mind it would have been much easier to do it from their.

I'll be the same when I get to the bubble, I'll try something different but exploring is brilliant and something I'll always come back to
