I am mapping mostly manually because the plotter seems to have some issues with me lolEasy way to find out. Restart the the game and if you're back in that same system again - looks then like that's it. You're well and truly struck!
That's bad after travelling 3/4 of the way to Beagle Point
Can't believe you was dropped off using a neutron star needing a 80ly jump to the next system. Hardly any ship can jump 80ly unless a carrier ship
he obviously boosted the fsd first, then maybe forgot it was boosted. Can't believe you was dropped off using a neutron star needing a 80ly jump to the next system. Hardly any ship can jump 80ly unless a carrier ship
Not much you can do to drop fuel and see if the lack of weight with reduced fuel might help increase his jump range enough. How do you drop fuel when he can't make any jumps to reduce it. Just flying around in a system doesn't really reduce the fuel hardly - only jumping to another system does that, and not like he can eject any fuel either. i doubt also he's carrying any cargo when making a trip to beagle point - as that just adds weight and reduces the jump rangewhat is your base jump range?
From your description.. probably under 40 ly. Even with premium fds boost you do not have the range that you need(82 ly) Are you carrying cargo? how much?
There is a chance that if you have a fair amount in terms of weight... you can jettison the cargo to give yourself 1-2 extra ly range. Any more would be a slim to none chance of extending your range. Fuel? Fuel is weight... how much do you have... a full tank? It might be possible to get the weight down enough to extend your range. Take to much fuel and you won't be able to make the jump at all. You have a tough call to make... think it through before doing anything.
Hey, how's the formally blind pilot lolwhat is your base jump range?

I'm back !!!!!!
I respawn at the last fleet carrier which was around 1500ly back so not much distance lost. I didn't have much cartography so all I lost was a bit of time.
I'm now going to Beagle via a different route lol
I didn't realise I could ask a carrier to do thatit's true what's alreadysaid
There are lots of guys who actually like to do a rescue mission and maybe even that carrier had jumped that 3 jumps to you
Ntl, good to have you back![]()
Yes, in my response, he would only get 1-2 ly advantage but it is something to think about, No?Not much you can do to drop fuel and see if the lack of weight with reduced fuel might help increase his jump range enough. I think he said he can do 70ly with FSD Injection. So he's like 10 or 12ly shy on jump range. So even if he could drop both cargo and fuel, you ain't going to gain 10ly jump range from it. His only option now seems to be. Either somebody jumps in with a fleet carrier and takes him out the system - or he kills himself and restarts with a new ship instead to get back to the bubble
If you had waited a while you may have had an offer of assistance via this forum, I am a little bit too far away (30,000+ly) but I am sure that there are other carrier owners a lot nearer that would not have hesitated to offer assistance.I didn't realise I could ask a carrier to do that
I realise I could have asked on here because Cmdr Lorenzo Waringos gave me a lift back to the bubble after the guardian FSD upgrade but I didn't realise I could have asked the carrier I last docked with.If you had waited a while you may have had an offer of assistance via this forum, I am a little bit too far away (30,000+ly) but I am sure that there are other carrier owners a lot nearer that would not have hesitated to offer assistance.
well, we did tell youI didn't realise I could ask a carrier to do that
Quick look at it, he's got an engineered FSD, you don't?Good afternoon Cmdrs
During the weekends debacle I read a lot about self destruction and peoples experiences. I came across a post somewhere where the Cmdr wrote he explored in a cobra MKIII with jump range of 50ly. He put the link to coriolis so I checked it out and I cannot see any difference between his and mine, in fact mine is slightly lighter.
This is mine
It does show the thrusters greyed out because I'm landed on a planet. When I select the thrusters on the site it makes no difference to jump rangeCoriolis EDCD Edition

Could anyone shed some light on why the difference in jump range please
