First mapped by.... A console player!

Are PC players really this salty? I thought PC players where more mature than this? Some of the comments are pretty funny tbh, especially for adults that have paid thousands for a PC getting salty because they didn't get a name on a planet. Kinda sad really
Well when a game has so few ways to put a visible mark on it and you spend $1ks you want to get in there to put your mark like others are!

Time will tell...

I think you should read the second line of your signature and ponder it's meaning for a while. It might help you in your current situation.

Here, I'll quote it for you: "Life ain't fair." - Trust me, I know that better than any of you.

As a previous poster said, Sportsmanship. Until the new discoveries are reset or PC players compensated and I don't mean a poxy decal then the wallet stays shut.

Hahaha, PC players compensated? You get everything better than consoles already. Entitlement is strong in this one...

Doesn't mean I can't fight against it.

You have a battle on your hands.

So how is it console players fault? And how can anyone argue with this? It really is pathetic. So because players have expensive rigs, they should get first dibs on everything? Come back to reality mate

The first discoveries on planets which have already been discovered is a bug - Natalie posted in the bug forums that they think they know why it's happening, but that original discoveries for the systems/planets are not being overwritten, just being displayed wrong.

Does this bug also affect first mapped? In other words, am I wasting my time mapping "undiscovered" planets in the Bubble? Is this going to disappear into dust when Thanos Dav snaps his fingers?

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Enough sniping, people. Discuss without resorting to personal attacks, trolling, or badgering each other.

I honestly don't see how this is particularly unfair, given 100% of those bubble bodies' first discovered tags are from PC players, because PC commanders got a whole year's head start. So console players get a few hours where they get to put their names on the bubble for a change. Sure, why not?

This PC player does not care. I haven't even tried to get in the game today. I just installed the new launcher and I'm gonna wait till tomorrow before trying to get in. The frustration level of any upgrade is enough for me to just sit it out. If console players can get in and map stuff first, then good for them. Tomorrow I'll just try to figure everything out; see if my bindings need adjusted, make sure all my personal stuff is intact (ships, credits, rank etc...) and then resume playing the game like I was before the update. Life is good...

What worries me is that all our "first mapped" (console player here) will get erased because of this bug mentioned further up in the thread.... Oh well, I suppose I can use the practice even if that happens.

Let me get this straight...

PC Master Race players are complaining because the console launches are more stable. That it isn't fair and everything should be reset so they have a chance at First Mapping rights.

Let's see... PC gets access to their player journal, 3rd party plug-ins, VR, higher resolution and frame rates, BETA access, were able to get Lifetime passes and Cobra IV access, lower insurance rates, etc. etc. etc.

Bahahahahahahah!!!!!! Ummmm, no.

Suck it up and deal with it. For once the consoles have a slight advantage and PC players are whining about it. Give me a break...

For all of those saying this is the console players time to shine because they have less shinies than PC players - and PC players are now getting thier own medicine, here's who to contact to correct this disparity between PC and console versions:

https://www.frontier.co.uk/contact

This is a launch issue - PC and consoles should have been given simultaneous launch without bugs and then it's simply a race to claim your stake, just like the old west, most prepared wins, and there are quite a few PC players who;ve spent a considerable amoutn of time preparing so they can claim thier own "home" planet or well known system.

What's happening now, to use a football analogy is the game has started, one team is on the pitch just putting the ball in the goal over and over and over and over and over again, while the other team is forced to sit in the changing rooms because the referee forgot to unlock the doors.

It's not even remotely a fair situation and has NOTHING at all to do with the differences between PC and console versions - about which the PC players have NO CONTROL - you console players CHOSE to play on a console despite probably having access to a PC (because ED was deliberately designed to run on 10 year old legacy machines), you CHOSE your limitations, so don't blame us, blame the developer.

you do see the irony in that remark don't you? PLEASE tell me you do.

no?

ok.

All the console players arguments revolves around one thing "our version is crap so this is our way of getting back at the PC crowd ( a.k.a - compensating) for that, because we are entitled, we got there first."

Irony / entitlement level - 400,000,000,000
