Notice Fleet Carrier Update - Known Issues

Missing calls from dispatchers when requesting a dock, after boarding and when leaving the station? In addition, they do not warn about speeding, etc.
 
I know they're working hard over at Fdev and fixes will come as and when they're ready and its appreciated but how in the name of all that is holy can a live version of the game be worse than any of the two betas? what's been done to the live version that wasn't done in beta? Why did none of these problems arise in either beta? Obviously I know less than nothing about coding and such but I just don't get it.
 
Major bug: as it was with transfer -2-carrier window overlap which was blocking right panel, same happened with jettison selector.
Had last limpet, wanted to drop, but then I hear "collector expired", so I press (4) just to close that right tab, and using limpet..
..arrived to carrier - pane (4) is blocked by top window remain.
 
  • Cannot use hyphens in ship ids. Comments added to existing issue #16381.
  • Keyboard stopped working, pressing escape fixed it. Some kind of hidden dialog box apparently, but haven't been able to reproduce and haven't created a ticket.
  • Missing station chatter on approach. Seems to be all gone after a certain point. Trying to reproduce.
  • Docked sounds continue after leaving station, even after multiple jumps. Trying to reproduce.
 
Have a ghost crew:
Carrier can repair ships but Repair crew shows as NOT purchased, so can't disable/enable the service and can't change the crew. If I try to buy the repair crew while in the carrier I can hear the "outfitting sound" but nothing happens.
 
Can't restock fighters when visiting my friends' FC. I had Condor. She had Imperial and Taipan, and was able to restock her own fighters. Possibly condor specific. Was in wing.

Message is "Server Error"

Same situation after logging to menu, but after desktop relog it worked. Then I wasn't in wing.

That's cuz players would use silly unicode characters to circumvent the profanity filters and poor little children will be hurt by seeing naughty words in other languages or you'd get a bunch of jealous english speakers upset that people writing a word in chinese is not getting the same response as if written in english.

i mean, it's june 2020 and we still dont have a launcher that can handle multiple accounts. Just stupid workarounds you shouldn't need to do.

So a question about fuel management....do I always need an intermediary ship to transfer fuel into the depot and also to use a ship to transfer fuel from the depot into the fleet carrier's fuel tank?

1) Depositing Tritium into the Fuel Depot is the same as putting into the carrier's tank. Tank holds 1000T of Rocket Tea.
2) Once the Fuel Depot/Tank is full, ship can transfer Rocket Tea directly into regular cargo hold space. The cargo hold is not an auxiliary fuel tank, just a storage facility.
3) A ship's cargo handling capacity must be used as the "intermediary" you cite when transferring Rocket Tea from the cargo hold to the Fuel Depot. This is the part most people find too much work. Personally I don't, but whatever flies your carrier :).

Not really too much ... just dumb. I can easy jump away by conda by 5000ly, then will have to go back to recharge carrier >: instead just wait it there.
 
Have no station sound anymore, and no missions showing on any station i dock to after this "maintenance"..

Missions seems ok, but no fly control when coming to station. Usually they're talky ... FC's fly control is OK.
 
A small issue I had noticed in Beta 2 but forgot to report it.

If you jump the carrier into a system marked Not Visited by the GalMap filter, that system does not register as Visited until you jump out of the system in a ship and then re-enter that system. This is true even if you have fully scanned by honking and FSS'd (and mapped? maybe, haven't tried that yet) the system after launching from the carrier. Apparently the GalMap sees only ships as "Visitors."
