Fleet Carriers are completely useless.

EDDU is useless it said fleet carrier was selling LTD for 4,000 I get there, I already was at the fleet carrier a couple times one time just to look at a fleet carrier and it was buying tritium. It than jumped to another planet and the commodies market says nothing on it for buying or saling so just another useless untrustworthy base clogging up EDDU.

A lot of Fleet Carrier owners are playing "Bait and Switch" with low buy or high sell prices. I caught one out at the weekend selling 11k of titium for 100k ton. I jumped my FC next to his, and a few others joined soon after, and within an hour we had sold all his demand, lol, he paid 1.1 billion for 11k of Tritium. PMSL.

My 10k a ton gaurenteed buy or sell runs for Tritium for my FC is still open, currently on a fesh buy run, you buy from station for 4.3k T and sell to my fleet carrier for 14.3 k ton. Will be in the smae spot most of the week unless the buy price jumps up, PM me, i will give you details.

Arggh, the royal we again. You have no idea how daft this sounds in the ears of someone who is used to think for himself and not in community terms.
ive unfortunally not really understand what you means cause translate dont help me a lot. anyway, whats the point? i always play with communities. my country have an elite dangerous community because me, from 2015, make the job.

this game is completely useless at the moment.
we hope in odyssey
In terms of bugs, functionality of features, etc., and the latest patch rollout and success, Elite has arguably never been more "useful".

So if you think it's "useless" at the moment, then why did you ever play in the first place? Game's as good as it's ever been.

What is the point of fleet carriers appearing on EDDU as stations because by the time you get there they are not saling the stuff listed on EDDU

Edit: I can make more money doing missions in the amount of time I am chasing fleet carriers for items to I can sale to station at a higher price than what I buy.

From what i've seen there is limited use for people using other people's FCs. The most useful variant i've seen is people using them to hitch a lift somewhere distant.
When they were first announced, I assumed (wrongly) that this would be a major use case, and that the game would have some simple UI-based system for "thumbing a lift".

They are very useful as a mobile base for squadrons

The carrier cut from combat bonds and bounty vouchers is an added bonus :)
Do you find that the carrier cut from combat bonds and bounty vouchers ends up totaling enough to cover upkeep each week? Does it add up to enough that you are accumulating enough surplus cash on top of that to eventually purchase Tritium the next time you need to make a jump? How many people in your squadron are actively using your carrier?

I'd be interested to know the scale at which shared group use of a carrier organically pays for itself.

yeah i can cover the upkeep myself without issue. I kill high end Thargoids. Medsua pay 10 mil per kill and Hydra pay 15 mil. I am prolific lol :p

EDIT - I also have around 2 years of upkeep reserved on the carrier anyway
