Fleet Carriers Update patch 1 - Downtime and patch notes

... and now my livery option has been reset....again. I noticed it when I first logged in. Set it back to what it should be... and after jump completed, it's reset to the default again... come on, really?!

  • Legacy -- The mouse select still double clicks through...by that I mean I click on a selection and it also clicks on the next menu selection. This is really frustrating. I want to select an inf+++ reward, click on complete mission and it selects a different reward, whatever was under the mouse cursor on the previous menu. I've also seen it at the engineer where I click to select experimental and it also clicks on whatever experimental effect happens to be under the mouse cursor location.
  • Legacy - Sure would be nice to be able to add or subtract just one to the station commodity buy/sell quantity. A single mouse click gives 2. A mouse click and then another really quick and hold may give an odd number much higher or lower than your target amount, then you have to slowly single click 2 at a time to hit your target amount.
Have you tried the other two Mouse Cursor options in the graphics menu?

I was hoping that the latest patch would fix the castaway bug; I drop out supercruise at my FC and it's going too fast for me to catch! Anyone else with this problem?

Or you could, you know.. spend an hour or two mining LTDs, then BUY all the fuel you need.
On Beagle Point (as example), right?
That involves secondary problem. In bubble I mine 3 hours, then for those money order delivery by commanders for full cargo + some cash left. On Beagle Point that will be 120hrs of hard work with zero cash added and many spent for upkeep/missles/etc.

People are pretty upset about this lol... but in my opinion.. I think it's just shell shock? I don't think it's as exaggeratedly bad as everyone things?

My opinion: LTD mining has been extremely unbalanced compared to exploration and combat. These things are supposed to be at a 1:1:1 ratio so that no one path would be exceeeeeedingly more profitable then the rest, but we all know the mining right now is excessively over-profitable.

Nuts and bolts - the sub surface ejection reduced by 25%? That's it? Guys really? Instead of making 300K in 60 minutes its now going to take an extra 15-20 minutes? Real sad day. Come on lads. This nerf is NOTHING compared to what you're making it out to be. Double/Triple overlay nerf? they will still exist and they will be found, and flocked too very quickly, just like they always have using ED Tools. They will still be there and now instead of making a still-overwhelming (in my opinion) 300k in an hour it just might be 90 minutes... but to be honest making that much in a SINGLE DAY is still excessive. What do you need all that money for @_@

"But my fleet carrier!!!" - Look, not everybody needs a fleet carrier. In a system today there were 30-40+ in ONE system. This is insane and over saturation and ... man. TOO MUCH in my opinion.

One guy earlier was like "Well im done with ED because holding left trigger is too boring" (paraphrasing). YO DUDE if you have been SOLELY pinning only ONE aspect of this game to your heart you're missing out on the great fun that is everything else about this game. Not to mention, again, they did not remove sub surface LTD from the game or something xD. Calm down. You're not leaving lol.

Anyway this is all just my opinion on the unbalanced excessive money from LTD, and peoples reaction to bring brought down to something more reasonable. It's my opinion, a lowly Anaconda LTD miner (once every few weeks because 500k a week is enough to sustain me for a month in game). I won't scream at you for disagreeing. Let me know what you think!

It isn't the decrease in subsurface. It's the drop-off in the areas around hotspots.
  • Decreased the effectiveness of the peripheries of Low Temperature Diamond hotspots.
    • Overlapping hotspots for Low Temperature Diamonds, when coupled with the new Subsurface Mining changes, were more effective than the centre of the hotspot itself. This change increases the drop-off of the hotspot's ring, reducing the likelihood that a double-overlapped hotspot is more lucrative than either of the hotspot's centrepoints. A well-placed triple hotspot will still be very effective at increasing the likelihood of finding Low Temperature Diamonds. This change does not affect any other hotspots or minerals.
Only nerfs LTDs. I like the "when coupled with the new Subsurface Mining changes" part, especially coupled with the decrease by 25%. So they had two things when together made it too strong, so they limited not one, but both. Gotcha.

you're dreaming... no WAY to make 200m/ hour in combat.. ive been a dedicated combat player, and about 1.5-3 million per hour...

1) get allied with at least one, for preference all, minor factions in a 7-faction-station
2) take on pirate lord (or, if you want to avoid combat, planetary scan) missions for 1...2 MCr. a pop
each of these missions takes less than 10 minutes to complete, being allied with 7 factions should give you at least one such mission any time you dock. Sure, that's just ~10 MCr./hr, but still way more than your 1.5...3 MCr.

If you want to get more, you may need to stack massacre missions (multiple factions offering massacre missions against the same targets). No idea how that works out in practice, as I find those massacre missions mostly boring, but YMMV. Those 20 MCr. wetwork missions, though :devilish:

We see ~100M+ cr/hr doing wing combat missions with two in the wing sharing missions. 4 of us clear the CZ fast with everyone tagging each kill, quickly leave and come back. When the first two missions are done, everyone leaves them and two more share their missions. Rinse and repeat. You can add it up.

Still no ability for transfer FC fuel directly from cargo to depot, and also do this remotely? Seriously, come on!
Yep, this is silly and stupid and there is absolutely no logic to this "mechanic".

I would very much like an official explanation why the owner of the carrier has to fly back and use his own ship to transfer fuel - despite having a gazillion people on board of the FC.

Sorry I was referring to this: Reduced the largest possible yield when subsurface mining for Low Temperature Diamonds by around 25%.
And regardless, everything. The size of field, the 25% subsurface, everything... it just means 400M an hour vs 500M and ppl so mad xD

I'm getting the same issue. Anytime I leave the carrier and come back or re-log the skin reverts to default despite saying it is using the other skin. It's going to kill the OCD part of my brain lol

And in the end it turns out that I still only own one carrier and since recently three markers have been pointing out to me.

It’s such an annoying issue. All the quality features added to the updated PRO seem to be broken. It looks like it’s stuck in the uglier ‘Performance’ mode.

o7
Just think, back when I was suffering "ugly" mode on PS4 Slim, everybody told me to buy a PS4 Pro. I'm definitely glad I skipped over that and went to straight to PC, especially now!
